Donating YT 11K Club Member | Is anyone really good at resumes??? I'm trying to help my mom. I feel so bad, they are closing her hospital so now she is looking for a job at another one. She is an RN. She made one already but she needs it to be looked over and improved, im trying to do my best but i don't want her not to get a job cause of me She said that she went for a job interview and the lady looked at her resume like it was crap. I don't think it's really bad so maybe im not seeing something..idk. She's such a good person and worker, help please. If anyone has experience with them. Thnx

| Years ago, I worked for a service that wrote resumes. so I consider myself knowledgeable. The one piece of advice I would give is, don't be afraid to make yourself look good. A skill she may have or a specific duty she may be well versed in may not seem important to her, but may possibly be one that catches the eye of a potential employer. Our motto always was - If you don't toot your own horn, no-one's going to do it for you. I'm more than willing to review the resume and give my recommendations, if you'd like. |

| I work for a school and I get resumes all year long from people looking for jobs. We request a cover letter, which is a letter telling us about the applicant. Nice paper is a plus,(nothing with a lot of color, but refined) but most of all we look at the cover letter. ...My name is ---- I am a RN for --- years, I have worked at --- for --- years, the reason I left was because---. My interests include----- so on and so forth. All she needs to do is get an interview and then I'm sure she can wow them.. Tell I said good luck.
