Donating YT 7000 Club Member | There was a bomb scare today! eek! I totally cant believe that this happened again at my school! I go to a really small school in a really small town, and things like bomb scares just DON'T happen! Last year there was one, and we had to go to the younger kid's school. But this is what happened today. So all was normal for the first 2 hours of the day. School as usual. Walking to 4th period Spanish I heard some rumors in the hallway about a bomb in the school. As soon as I got to class there was an announcement asking for all of the bathroom sign out sheets. I shrugged it off because hey...these things happen. I went out to get a drink, and there was tape saying "Do not enter" and "off limits" over one of the bathroom doors. Turns out, someone had written something about blowing up the school on the wall. There were some police walking around the school, which freaked everyone out a bit. Around 2:30, during 9th period, we were watching a movie. The fire whistle at the fire station behind the school started going off, so we were all moaning about it making so much noise. Then there was another announcement over the PA system "This is an important announcement. Students and Faculty please evacuate to the feild behind the school." so we went out there and of course there were rumors flying. I saw my neighbor and his bomb dog and so I pretty much knew right then that it was a bomb threat. We were outside for half an hour, until our teachers brought us around the school and dismissed us to our parents. On the way out we saw some ambulances, cop cars, and firemen. It was pretty scary! We're actually going to watch a Holocaust survivor speak tomorrow at the state theatre. and for some reason it really hit me hard. There are people like survivors of the Holocaust who have been through so much. Joking about or threatening to kill people just isn't funny.
