My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | OMG! Went canoeing today and look what we saw !!!!!!!! Bald Eagles! We have 2 bald eagles living out by us and today we went canoeing behind our home. We came up on them! It was reallly neat. The huge one was flying above us and the smaller one was in a tree. I snaped some pics of the one in the air and of the one in the tree and also took some of their nest. We live up in the Hills in the country and have a small river that goes behind our house. Its amazing to see all the nature out their!!! Here are the pics. First will be the nest and just some photos of the view. |

| Brenda - we are so coming to visit you!!!!! That is really cool. My hubby's family has a cottage on Clifford Lake (near Greenville) and there are a pair of Bald Eagles that hang out in the area. Always spectacular to see one fly above the lake!!!

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Those are awesome! They are such majestic birds, I could look at them all day. You'll laugh. I spent 5 minutes staring at the first pictures of the nest and the trees and was ready to call you a liar when I scrolled down and saw all the other pics. That'll teach me! Thanks for posting. I love 'em. Be sure to keep them away from your pups!

I know!!! Now another thing to worry about!!! Hawks....and now Blad Eagles!!! I gotta admit, I brought them all in this afternoon, just because my mind was playing tricks on me! I am paranoid! But no - no liar....They are real!!! Why? Do the trees and nest look funny??? The one was flying way high above the nest and the other one was accross the river in the trees from the nest. They weren't far from it. It was really neat to see !!!! | |

| we've actually seen 3 or 4 here in the last couple of years. I didnt even think we had them around these parts. we're in North Alabama and I never heard anyone talking about us having eagles. one came right over our garage when I was sitting on the deck and he was so low, I thought the tip of his wing was gonna hit the top of our garage when he flipped his wing downward. He was sooooooooo pretty. But maggie was in the house and I really watch out for hawks here too, because we do have lots of those here.
