| Tornado?? We just drove across town and on the way home we got caught in the middle of a bad storm. We got hit with hail and heavy rain and then about a mile or so from home the wind picked up and I mean it picked up! We drove home along the lake with tree branches hitting the side of my car and rain blowing sideways...the sirens were going off but we couldn't even hear them. The guy in front of us wanted to stop in the road and gawk so we honked at him to move...we were sitting under a huge oak tree that was blowing all over the place and dropping branches and I'm just not ready to die today! We got home to find the wind had blown a piece of the lattice out of our deck railing and our heavy wood patio furniture had been blown over and the rain was blowing so hard it came in around one of our windows and blew the water on the wall beside it guess we'll be needing a little caulk there...but, at least we made it home! I turned on the radar chanel and they said some gas pumps were blown over at the corner we just drove through so I know it had to be worse that direction. My boyz were safe but they weren't in their window when we got back! I feel bad, they must have been scared. The weather man keeps saying there is rotation in that storm but no reports of a tornado yet...well...I certainly have an opinion on that one! |

I've never been around a tornado but hurricane winds can get pretty fierce! I've sat through some pretty windy days when one passes by. We usually just lose electric for a day or two........and a lot of leaves and small branches but nothing major. You best stay in and keep safe!!!!!

| Sounds like there was bad weather all over the place today! We had much the same. But I don't think we got the tornado here -- the weather man was saying satellite was picking up rotations all over the place but we did not have an on ground siting. whew!

| There are LOTS of bad weather here. Actually a possible tornado spotted on the GA border of Alabama moving North East at 40mph. A couple of counties are on Tornado warnings right now. We are in a Tornado watch as of right now until 9pm tonight. It actually looks like the move of the storm now is headed right to the county where my husband works.

| Weather has been really bad here all day. I'm actuallly at my parent's right now because they have a basement. There have been tornados breaking out accross the state all day and 8 kids at a high school in Enterprise, AL got killed earlier today. The schools here all shut down around noon today... |

| Thanks everybody! Yes, we did get home o.k. and the boyz are fine...I gave them lots of hugs...I felt so bad for not being home with them. I checked my car and there's no damage...the lattice is already fixed and the patio is cleaned up again. I was told we went right through whatever it was and the town across the bridge was/is out of power and that's where the storm came from...I don't know if it's back on yet or not. The bad thing about our house is if I need to go downstairs I have to use the elevator or go outside to the entrance from the patio...well, who wants to be in an elevator in bad weather? Not me! We really need to take that silly thing out and put stairs in. We only had the one storm today (which was enough thank you!) and now it's just cold and windy so I'm staying inside with my boyz and I think I'll make some hot chocolate later. |

Mom to Marty & Maddie Donating Member | Yikes! That must have been really scary, especially to be in a car. Your poor little boys. I'm sure you are giving them lots of attention to make them feel comfortable and safe again! |

| Yes, it was nerve wracking, usually I get physically sick when the weather gets severe but I'm getting better during storm season. I've been through a few small tornadoes...by accident...and it can be downright terrifying! The boyz took things pretty well...they didn't seem to be shook up or anything when we got home...we came in just as it was getting over but the wind did chase them out of their usual window seat at the front of the house! |
