Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | ? COLORS for INTERIOR PAINTING What color do you think is a good neutral color for the inside of a home besides being white or linen tones? Am wanting to repaint ours this spring only because, wanting a change in color, thinking of repainting in a soft gold tone with the white wood work through out. Want to keep it a color that would be suitable for later if we decided to sell. Have painted and repainted the same color for so many years that I feel a change is due figure it will be the last time I repaint here so want to do with something that would be pleasant and flow nicely throughout, the carpeting is a nice light beige throughout. Spring is a ways off but want to plan ahead. If anyone has painted with a soft gold tone which color did you choose and what paint. Thanks for your input. Patti |

| Benjamin Moore has a neat little tool on it that might help you pick a color - http://www.benjaminmoore.com/wrapper...proj&N=intproj I played around with it a bit - I definitely like warm, rich, neutral tones - especially in contrast with white trim. The finished look is always fantastic - contemporary and classic at the same time. It depends on the color of your carpet though - you'll have to decide based on that. You can definitely go lighter/darker than your carpet, but you'll want to pick a cool/warm paint color based on whether your carpet has cool/warm undertones. I really liked: Bradstreet Beige Huntington Beige Adams Gold (might be more like what you were thinking) Lots of great colors on there to choose from - hope this helps!

| Choosing a paint color is so overwhelming! I just went through this as we painted the entire house interior and so much time was spent choosing colors. A neutral color that I would recommend with a gold hue is "Blonde" which is a Sherwin Williams color. It didn't catch my eye on the color chart but was recommended by the painter who had an eye for color and it is a rich color with a little bit of a gold hue. He also warned me about gold tones, they tend to look too yellow on the wall. Originally I was leaning more toward colors that looked more gold on the swatch but I am glad I didn't go that route. I did choose a color called "harvest gold," also a Sherwin Williams paint for my two boys and sure enought, it looks too yellow! I also have white trim and the blonde color is a nice contrast. Even though it is high up in lightness on the color chart, it is a pretty rich looking color, yet neutral. Good luck!!

| My house is painted in the exact color I think you are looking for. It's kind of a light chamois color, very relaxing, and everyone that visits always remarks how much they like it. I bought it at Vista paints, if you have one near you, I will give you the color number. It is custom color, and my trim as well is white. If need be, I will send you a sample of the paint color.

| The last house we did was a light gold or creamy yellow with white trim and it was pretty. Gold is the color of wealth so maybe it will bring you some good luck? We made more $$ on that house than any other we've ever sold so maybe it holds true! |

| The inside of most of ours rooms in our house is painted with "Cup of Cocoa" from Behr. You can buy it at Home Depot. I love Behr paint, it covers so well and goes on well. We get tons of compliments on this color and everyone always wants to know the name of the color to copy it. It is a good neutral color that would go with almost anything. The other colors I have used in my house are red (kitchen) and some green accent walls in other rooms and that color goes so well with them both! Good luck and have fun painting!!

| The color I have in my home is called Angel Cake. My trim is white. It's like a breath of fresh air very pleasing to the eye and matches so many colors.

| My entire home is painted with a very light blue/grey.. Depending on the amount and type of light it either looks like a very light blue -- or a soft grey. |

| I've always used an off white in all my rentals, but my daughters house is done in a very light gray. I like that better than the off white if you are doing it all one color. |

| Although many would not consider this a neutral color, I like a pale "butter" yellow. It always makes everything so light and airy!!!
