| Possible Scam? or just real cheap? Hi Everyone! So I was browsing around the local ads online because I just LOVE looking at puppy pictures! (Who doesn't?!) and I came across this really cute yorkie that was priced at only $400!!! I was in shock because : 1) in Southern California It's VERY hard to find a yorkie girl AKC registered that's under 4lbs for that price.. 2.) I thought this baby girl was just too cute! Im not planning on getting another female since I already have 2, but I was looking for a male that I might add later on in the near future, so i decided to e-mail the person anyways (because at first they didn't write whether she was male or female). In my e-mail I had asked the questions, Is it male/female, Is he/she registered, if so AKC, CKC or ?, Do they have pictures of the parents, where are the parents, does the puppy come with any health guarantee's etc, how old the puppy was and why were they in a rush to get rid of her? (i have seen this ad renewed every week mind you.) they e-mail me back with the following (Mind you this ad or the online thing is only supposed to be for Southern California).. Quote:
When I saw the price my jaw just about dropped on the floor! because it's such a steal if it's really that price! but Considering she said they "relocated" to Florida, makes me Iffy? Does it sound fishy? or does this sound legitimate? Because I was thinking if it's really that price, it's a steal and i've got to have her! Should I e-mail this person back with more questions? if so, what questions should I ask?

| Ask them where they are at in FL. I wouldn't mind (if she is far south) going to look at her for you to see if it's legite.. |

| If you really want her, I'd have someone go check the place out. But I have a really strong feeling it's a scam, so I bet it would be a waste of your time. Sorry. There's a furbaby out there for ya, You'll find him,

| Can't put my finger on it, but something just doesn't ring true about this. I'd be very careful. Perhaps it's the pressure sale at the end...I'm not sure. |

| scam Shipping from Florida to CA is $200/250..do you really believe anyone is selling a purebred Yorkie for $250, they can sell it any local papers for $500 or more and not have to go to the airport and ship......they will ask for a Western Union, they will tell you that you can come and see the pup, but they will give you a bogus address..and you can not pay in person...puppy has to be paid for before you come..because there is no puppy. |

Darn I knew it had to be too good to be true! I was thinking the same thing about shipping costs. She was originally selling her to me for $400, and if i needed it to be shipped it would be $500, she really had me fooled because she was asking questions like.. why do i want her, am i planning to breed her blah blah stuff like that.. She even told me my friend could pay cash if she went there? so should i just forget the whole thing?

| pup I have a feeling if your friend actually called and made arrangements to go see the pup, the seller would beg off...you might try it and see...although I do not think it wise for her to go alone. |

| Don't know what to tell you other than you can always check it out, atleast they say you can come see the puppy rather then them saying that you can't see the puppy and it has to be shipped to you. You never know. I had a friend who sold her yorkie puppy for only the shipping costs, which I think was around 300. She could not keep the puppy an longer because of where she moved. I would have bought her, she was so adorable, but I was not looking for a yorkie at the time and didn't have the money to take care of another one
