| David Bowie Dead at Age 69 :'( I thought it was a hoax at first. I'm so sad. He was such an influential artist. I was fortunate enough to see him in concert one time when I was 14 years old at the Forum in Inglewood. Even though we had the worst possible seats I was so excited to be there. I also remember in 6th grade, we were allowed to bring in movies every so often. I brought in Labyrinth and everyone hated it. Sealed my fate as a weirdo from then on. https://www.yahoo.com/music/legendar...064252101.html

| Wow! This is a shocker. I just learned that Wayne Rogers (Mash) passed away from complications of pneumonia.

| So sad to hear about his death. Just watched his video on youtube..."Lazarus". It seems so many of our artists we grew up with are passing lately. RIP

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I was so shocked when I heard about it this morning . It seems no one even knew he was ill. He was SUCH a talent, a unique human being, an artist/performer, a trail blazer. What a loss.

| Very sad news. Bowie was one of a kind, art personified. Unique, captivating presence. Priscilla, I'm envious that you got to see him perform live.

| ^That is what bf said. I at least hope that the cancer wasn't too painful throughout the 18 months and that his last few moments weren't either.

| I don't know if you remember, but it was in 94 during a joint tour he did with Nine Inch Nails. So the crowd was very mixed. Lots of kids there for NIN but I was there for Bowie. I was 14 then.

I'm glad he was surrounded by his family. SO sad to lose such a talent/artist...especially when he clearly had so much more creativity inside of him yet...

| Was that reported? I didn't see that. I was also wondering. Bf's dad died of prostate cancer, and a friend's dad died from lung cancer (from smoking), but it had spread to his legs and if IIRC, he had to lose some toes before he finally died.
