| Phoenix flooding Thinking about our AZ friends in the Phoenix area. Hope you and your homes are safe. Ann, Nancy, others, how are you?! The pictures and video from the area look devastating.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | The rain and flooding was just CRAZY!! I mean, hello, we're in the DESERT for pete's sake ! It was pretty nuts...the storm started in middle of the night w/ the loudest/longest thunder I've ever heard, and in the morning it was *still* pouring outside and just kept going. Our pool was overflowing, our backyard flooded. All the nearby washes were running like rivers, it was nuts. They had to close some nearby roads bc of flooding and also bc there was so much sand piling into various roads. Some cars on the highways were up to the roofs in water! They said there hasn't been rain like this in well over a thousand years. Geesh. Luckily though, no damage to the house or anything...we were lucky. I'm hoping Nancy is fine too...she is in Gilbert so I think she was probably generally okay in terms of the really bad areas. Hopefully she'll see this thread and check in. Thanks for checking in on us .
