| I hate wrapping presents! I'd do anything to get out of the dreaded chore of wrapping. I'd rather give gifts of money than wrap presents. But this year is different. I bought presents, and I'm not cheating and using gift bags. I've got boxes lined with tissue, ribbons, bows and coordinating gift tags. It's a lot of work, and for once, I'm happy about it. And I'm grateful. I'm grateful that the little blonde haired, blue eyed, six year old, first grader, who calls me Nana, is home safe with her mama, and will be here soon to open all those little packages. I'm grateful for our doe eyed, little three year old grandson, who adores his Papa, and dump trucks. And so I wrap, happily, with paper bearing pictures of little puppies and kittens wearing Santa hats. And with a grateful heart, I guess you can say this year I have a new "wrap-attude".

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I used to love it now I hate wrapping. You are right. You put everything in persepective. For them all. Those wonderful teachers that tried to protect their students. Bless them all.

| I, too, hate wrapping! But this year, my family is all home. I'm picking up my mom at the airport today. My little bro is going to be gone for 3 years for military assignment after this Christmas, so with a happiness and a heavy heart... I went all out for Christmas this year. I even did the bows & ribbons on each package too. Can't wait to see my 3 & 1 year old nephews faces when they come to 'aunties house' Christmas day and see the tree with all the presents. I actually just can't wait to HUG them! My 3 year old nephew is just learning what a 'hug' is and doing it on his own. He usually just walked up to you and into you and thats it. Now he'll put his arms around you. My 1 year old nephew actually hugs. Its the cutest thing!

| I have been hurting since Friday night. I had therapy for my back, then went to my rhuematologist about my fibromyalgia. Since the np had seen before is no longer with them, i saw the actual dr for the first time. So he had to check out the trigger points. I reacted to 16 out of 18. Add the bad weather to the mix, and inlaw gift exchange a flare was expected. So i had been putting off wrapping presents. My dad always has me get some presents for mom, wrap them and hand them to him before christmas. So i got to wrap a wireless printer (actually 2 as i got one for dh also), and some sweaters. I am not a good wrapper to begin with and with the pain, was not looking forward to it. I wish i had read this before my wrapping time. I am going to try and get out of the rest of it, but if need to will have a new attitude about it.

♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | Thank you for putting this into perspective Kim. I was going to just put everything in a gift bag, since my 'kids' are all grown up and on their own now. I remember the look on their faces when they were younger opening all the gifts at Christmas. I caught my daughter just gazin at the tree through the window last year, with the same wonder I saw when she was 5...(she is now 27!) My baby girl just stood there with a smile on her face...it was freezing out! Asked what in the world she was doing...her answer brought me to tears. 'Mom I just love coming home at Christmas, there is so much love here...you can feel it when you walk up the walkway' Had me blubbering like you wouldn't believe...never knew she felt like that. Of course the boys looked at me like I had grown two heads and gone stark raving mad! So this year when I had to put up that dang seven and half foot tree, with 500 lights, and all the 'heritage' ornaments collected over the years, I did so with a happy heart, cuz I know my 'kids' will be HOME for Christmas! Yup I will wrap even the big azz microwave oven I got for my daughter, the wireless printer I got for my youngest son for school, and the drum cases for my middle son...how is beyond me, but I will wrap them all!!

| I love wrapping presents and always have. It hurts my back like it does many to do it but I just love the whole process. And the wrapped presents with big bows look so pretty under the tree. And I LOVE seeing everyone look at that stack under the tree, try to find theirs, gauge from its size what it is(I disguise some by adding an extra little box on top, use way bigger box, etc.,), love watching them tear into that present and have to take some time to get to the present, prolonging the enjoyment. And I LOVE the huge pile of papers, tissue, boxes, ribbons, bows, etc., when everyone is done and sitting around drinking eggnog and smiling and laughing. Always try to get a picture of that pile and then the people one by one each season! So I love the whole thing. This year I'll love it even more.

| Awe Kim that is so perfect! I was wrapping last night and loathing every minute of it. I am so blessed to have my sweet and lovable 5 year old son Isaiah and this is a great reminder for me when I am wrapping all his gifts from Santa
