| I highly recommend Maui, Kannapoli Beach to be exact. It's my moat favorite place on all the islands. It's not as heavy with tourists so that's why I love it. If you are looking for a big party scene you might not like it as well. |

| My very first trip to Hawaii, we stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and the BEST part was, we were there when Elvis was there filming a movie at that hotel! I was a teenager and had an unforgetable vacation, complete with a lunch date with my heart throb! Beyond Elvis, that is a beautiful hotel, spread out over lush, landscaped acres, with many pools and "refreshment huts", with stunning views of Diamond Head! |

| We have always had good luck at the Outrigger. It's next to the Royal Hawaiian; kind of old school, but right on the beach and close to everything. Have fun!

| I went to Oahu about 10 years ago! I LOVED IT! We stayed at this hotel... Waikiki Hotels-Waikiki Sand Villa Hotel: Honolulu, Hawaii Its nothing to brag about really, but we barely spent time in it. It was cheap and had a pool. I loved the open lobby. In the mornings I would sit on the balcony and drink coffee and watch people kayak in formation on the canal. Its about a 3 min walk to Waikiki Beach but its not on the beach. For us, my (then) boyfriend's mom owned a travel agency. She got 4 free round trip tickets to Hawaii and we had 6 weeks notice, we were so young and had no money, so for us the hotel being $65/night was awesome! If you are going as a DREAM trip, then I'd suggest something right on Waikiki beach for sure! Something more extravagant.

| What kind of amenities are you looking for? And is price an issue? I live on Oahu and I recently stayed in Waikiki for a little staycation with the family. I stayed at the Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel aka Prince Kuhio Hotel. It was very nice. Most people don't spend much time in their rooms.(unless on their honeymoon lol ) The Sheraton Waikiki is also beautiful but the price is higher. There is also the Halekulani which is luxurious too. I actually stayed in quite a bit of hotels in Waikiki. If you are looking for a stunning ocean view the Hawaii Prince is almost on the water and what I can remember the room was beautiful. It even had a jacuzzi bath and seperate shower stall. I actually have some family and friends that work at different hotels. If you don't mind being out of Waikiki the awesome Disney Aulani is on the west side which in island terms is only a 35-40 minute drive at best to Waikiki. What kind of things are you planning to do and are they with children? I can give you inside tips of where to go and places to eat away from the touristy things.(unless that is what you want) Let me know and i'll be glad to help.

| You've got to go to Pearl Harbor memorial. Ive been 2 places in life that were easily the most beautiful saddest places. Pearl Harbor Memorial was something spectacular. It was so calm and quiet. Even the little children seemed to know that it was a place to stay quiet. I went to Ground 0 after 911. I cried. That was eerie, sad and believe it or not beautiful with the streets lined with flowers, poems, candles, etc... for blocks & blocks.

We are going for 14 nights and although other friends are coming we don't need to be in the same hotel ,our friends are staying at the Courtyard Marriott . There are 2 teenagers in the group but the rest are adults . We are going for a 50 th birthday. Ahis_Mama we did look at the Hawaii prince hotel but not having a balcony was an issue for us We would love to visit pearl harbour and are interested in doing some tourist stuff . Also we need to know if there is any dog boutiques as will def need to get Alfie and Lottie a present back.

| Does it matter if you are on the beach or not? Because Kuhio is just a street up and has a lot of nice hotels too. Of those 3, I would pick the Sheraton. Lots of nice shopping around too. If you are going to eat Hawaiian food I suggest Helena's Hawaiian Food. It's a hole in the wall place but by far the best. Been around over 50 years. The Alii Kai Catamaran dinner and show is nice too. Germaines Luau is a good dinner and show also. If you want to tan going around the island to the North Shore or other beaches than Waikiki is a must. Make sure you get to stop and eat our famous shave ice.(snow cones) hmmm....let me think some more.

| When I went to Hawaii, some of the things I really enjoyed was the International Market, Christian Larson art studio, Diamond head volcano, hard rock cafe, pearl harbor, a luau, we rented water bikes and pedaled around the ocean, we went to the Dole plantation, we went to a National Park that had kayaking, RVing, horseback riding, etc.... we went to the Bonsai pipeline to see the surfers (that is where Baywatch was filmed). Hope that helps a little bit!
