Here in southern Cali, we have the largest vietnamese community outside Vietnam! They also celebrate the lunar new year (I guess we can't call it Chinese new year anymore, LOL) with what they call the Tet Festival, which starts this Friday. The new year celebrations are 15 days long. Many people in China take 2-3 weeks off. Some go home and never come back to their factory jobs. Hee hee. In my industry, stuff that gets made before the holiday is not the best.

My family has really gotten away from that since my parents passed away. Unfortnately we didn't quite master all the ins and outs of the preparations like my mom used to do. Enjoy!
