| O.k...I cooked... Now...who's gonna put all this food away and clean up this mess? My husband and I spent our first Thanksgiving holiday alone this year and I think I over did it! I made smokey links in BBQ/grape jelly sauce for a little appetizer, an 8 pound turkey breast, stuffing, home made mashed potatoes, gravy, candied sweet potatoes with pecans, green bean casserole, whole berry cranberry sauce with manderin oranges and pecans, home made biscuits with honey butter, banana pudding with 'Nilla Wafers and banana slices, deep dish apple pie, mince pie, pecan pie, coffee and sweet tea. I think it's time to go for a walk.... |

| Um sounds good!!! It was just my husband and I and our 5 year old daughter so we ordered a smoked turkey from the BBQ place. It was a really good turkey. I hadnt had smoked turkey before. Its super moist. I made some things to go with it but it came with mashed potatoes and green beans and rolls so my cooking was to a minimum. They do hams for Christmas so I think were gonna order it then.

| I actually enjoyed cooking this year...I haven't done a whole holiday dinner for a long time. We've shared holidays with family and extended family for so many years and everyone brings a different dish so it was nice to get to do the whole thing by myself. Now that I'm looking at this pile of dishes I have one more thing to ad to my 'I'm thankful for list'...my dishwasher! |
