| Best Carry On Luggage? I'm not a big traveler, in fact I'm not the one traveling! My parents will be traveling to Mexico, and I'm the one that always does the research. Of course I got a good deal for them online, and now all we need is to wait until the end of May to send them off. Usually, they take a suitcase, and maybe a duffel bag, but now things are getting so ridiculous, you have to pay for every checked bag on some airlines. Now It's my job to find them some really good carry on luggage. I don't know where to start. Any travelers out there with tips? I did do a google search, but google just throws everything at you and I don't know what is a good durable brand and what isn't.

| I think they dont charge on international flights. I could be wrong? Unless they are now starting to do this too. I travel to Italy alot and i know i'm never charged. What airline is it?

| I always fly an airline that allows free checked bags because I way overpack, But the best carry on bags are spinner type bags like these: Spinner / 4 Wheel Reviews & Ratings - Luggage Online going down the aisle in the airplane it is usually easiest to push the bag in front of you which is very easy with this type of bags.

| Alaska Airline, I even used my mom's AMEX points to get them about $200 off. I looked at their website to check weight limits only to find that they charge for checked bags.

| Thanks LD! Like I already told you, you have made my mom a very happy woman. But... my dad still wants to get a carry on. He likes to travel light, and knows he will use his new carry on bag again and again, so I'll still need those recommendations.
