Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | ? Freezing feet, legs, with strong burning sensation? I have been having bouts of my feet and lower legs feeling freezing cold, also at the same time they have a tremendous strong burning sensation, I ask myself what next has anyone ever had this happen. I told Jack today when it was happening and he felt them and said they were ice cold and at the same time I told him they were burning like crazy, quite painful too. It lasts for several hours and then deminishes. Curious if anyone else has had this happen or ever heard of something like this before? Thanks, Patti and Jack Last edited by Baby Blessing; 05-02-2009 at 10:26 PM. |

| Peripheral neuropathy is just one of many possibilities. Please see your doc ASAP, especially if your leg(s) change color.

| My DH has neuropathy which is so severe now, that he has to go to pain management. When he first started getting the symptoms of the neuropathy he would complain of freezing cold feet, burning sensations, and when he walked with bare feet he said it felt like he was walking on hot marbles that was 5 years ago. Now the pain is constant with shooting pain that he says feels like somebody stabbed him with a knife. He is a diabetic and neuropathy is a side effect of the disease.

| Do you have diabetes? It does sound like peripheral neuropathy - but then there are some other things that might cause the same sensation. You do need to go to the doctor ASAP!
