Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I BEG You To Watch This Puppy Mill Video - 300 Dogs Saved This is not easy to watch, but it is not near as bad as many of the videos we've seen here. I really do hope you watch this - and then go and contribute money somewhere to help support these efforts. Here is the video link: https://secure.hsus.org/01/puppy_mill_rescue_nc I received this from HSUS via email: The HSUS offensive against puppy mills continues. Today, thanks to the work of your HSUS, nearly 300 puppy mill dogs have a fresh start and are free forever from the horrors of the mass breeding operation known as Thornton’s Kennels in Wayne County, N.C. Just 72 hours ago, misery was the only life these animals had known. The dogs -- found in cramped, rusted-out wire cages stacked one on top of the other -- were saved last weekend by local law enforcement officers and a rescue team from The Humane Society of the United States. Some of the dogs -- well beyond safe breeding age -- had been forced to breed for years on end until they simply collapsed under the strain. Watch our exclusive video that takes you inside the rescue of these innocent victims. Then please make an emergency contribution today to support this rescue operation and others like it. Since Saturday, the animals have been at an emergency shelter, where dedicated teams of local volunteers and veterinarians, along with partners from the animal welfare community, have been tending to the dogs' many critical needs. Finally out of the clutches of Thornton’s Kennels, these dogs are at the beginning of their ultimate journey -- to a loving home of their own. Tragically, hundreds of thousands of dogs still suffer at the hands of this industry that traps them in a dismal cycle of misery. These are the animals our rescue teams are trained to save. In fact, during the past year alone, we’ve rescued thousands of animals from the deplorable conditions of puppy mills around the country.

| That makes me both extremely sad and extremely angry. The sheer greed and heartlessness makes me sick.

| That is so very, very sad. When they took the Yorkie and told her/him they were going to see daylight for the lst time in their life, how very sad was that too. My Gracie came from a PuppyMill in PA. The Shih Tzu Rescue so very kindly too her out of there. But the puppymiller didn't give her up till she was 10 years old. When I got her she looked like she had just had a littler of puppies. Seeing those dogs in the video spin around in their cages, that's what my Gracie does when she goes to the bathroom outside. This video was very hard to watch but if it's gets people's attention, then it was worth it.

| I'm crying right now watching the video because that's how my little baby lived. Only for him it was a box and three years later he still freaks out if he sees anything box like. Because he was kept in the dark for most his life he is now going blind. I can still see him sitting outside in the sun and warmth with his eyes closed because the light was too stong. He's a senior now and spends alot of time sleeping. When we go for walks our other two are ready to go but I carry Roo because he's having trouble now with his legs. I love my little man dearly. I have ZERO tolerance for these so called people that do this just for the almighty dollar. |

To everyone else who replied, thank you so much for watching the video. I know it's heartbreaking to see this, but luckily we have a happy ending for the pups from this mill. A mill which is now GONE. Thankfully.

| Thank god for people like that on the video. I myself could never do that.Just to see those furbabies like that makes me mad enough to go hurt the people who are doing that to them. I THANK GOD for people that can do that, thanks to them so many puppy mills are going away !!! Its very heartbreaking that people do that.

| Those poor babies. It makes me sick that people could just let those poor animals exist like that. I really hope one day all the puppy mills will be shut down!!! The greed in our society astounds me.

| I saw the shot of those yorkie puppies laying in their own urine and I couldn't help but almost throw my computer screen... just to think that MY BABIES were raised like that.... those could have been MY BABIES. I know it's wrong to hate people, but I HATE anyone that treats dogs like this... and that baby with her tongue sticking out... that's AWFUL!

| It seems as if it never ends...I have been watching and reading about these kinds of places for over 10 years and it still breaks my heart. I suppose, at least with how bad the economy is right now, people are just not buying dogs like they used to and hopefully it will shutdown some of the mass producing puppy places but until we speak out about these places and get laws changed, more dogs will die and all of them live in hell! I beg everyone to continue to get the message out about puppymills and work with their states for humane treatment of animals. I don't care what anyone says, the laws that are in place now, are not working and animals continue to suffer and die. The other thing you have to remember is that it is your taxes paying for the surplus of animals at the pounds...why don't the breeders have to pay?

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | To the little doggies in the puppy mills.... To all the little doggies in those horrible places: We are here for you...we are thinking of you and have you all in our thoughts and our prayers. We are hoping for your safety and rescue and will be doing what we can to make this happen. We hear your cries and we cry too. I will pray for all of you every night, and beg Him for your health and happiness. We need to be your advocates and provide justice to the humans who create this. I'm tearing up as I write this because I see your little faces, so scared, and so sad. I hope we can all do our part in helping to end this madness. This does NOT need to happen, especially to these poor, defenseless little creatures. Don't buy from any business who is endorsing this harmful treatment for animals!! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Please don't buy your pets off the Internet; you are condoning this type of treatment if you do. The people that run these places seem very nice when you talk to them; you have to see how the parents are being raised before you buy a puppy. If everyone would stop buying from Pet Stores and Websites, puppy mills would go out of business.
