| I prefer the elliptical myself. It seems to work more muscles or something Go to a fitness equipment store and try them out for yourself. It's really a matter of what's right for you! Good luck and have FUN

| I would like the Eliptical. My doctor and physical therapist said that the treadmill is hard on your knees and back. Plus some Eliptical's have you move your arms at the same time you move your feet. JMO

| I had a gym membership for a year, and really enjoyed the Elliptical. It was the first machine I went to in the series of things I did. Lastly was the Treadmill or Bike. Now we have a Treadmill at home (hubby wanted one), I use it but I still like the Elliptical better. Less boring (well, to me anyhow) and seemed I*got more of a workout on it. Now I wish we got an Elliptical instead of the Treadmill. Ideally we'd have BOTH but I know in most peoples cases including ours, both isn't a possiblity. |

| I personally like the elliptical more also. But treadmill burns more calerioes when compare to ellipitcal. But it is also less stress on knee and back also. So, I think I am going to shop around for an elliptical. Any brand or model for recommendation?? |

| You might want to try googling "exercise equipment reviews" to see what features to look for on the equipment......

| i have an elliptical at home. will run outside if it's nice, but the elliptical makes me happy b/c it's also kind of fun for me to bop around. if you don't like exercise to begin with or aren't into running, it's hard to motivate yourself to get on the treadmill at first. if you are a runner, i'd go with the treadmill b/c the high of an intense, long run can't be simulated on the elliptical. you can get tight muscles/butt with a steep incline on a treadmill. i've also never felt "in the zone/runner's high" on the elliptical. that said, i (and my knees) love my elliptical

| elliptical! They are a fuller body workout and burns more cals in shorter amount of time than the treadmill!

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I love my elliptical, I use it almost everyday. I think the musles work more in the elliptical and you can also do work out with your arms. I think you do a better workout in less time. You can do 20 minutes of elliptical and you can burn more calories than walking an hour on the treadmill. Plus it's low impact and it won't hurt your joints |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I've had a treadmill at home for about 10 years now and use it religiously - I LOVE it, best money I ever spent for my health/well-being. I cannot stand the elliptical - I've tried it at the club and I just get so bored for some reason, time just crawls for me, it drives me crazy. So I guess everyone is different. I just slap in a movie or something I've taped, put on my headphones, and start runnin'. Love it.
