| PLEASE READ petition on puppy mill Please visit this website and sign the petition to ban puppy mills in the state of PA. PLEASE THIS IS IMPORTANT. Sign the Petition : Saving Puppies Governor Rendell Supports Passing Laws to Save Puppies The mass slaughter of 80 dogs at a Berks County kennel in August ignited a firestorm of public outrage about animal cruelty, but the sad fact is that shooting a dog - for any reason - is perfectly legal in Pennsylvania kennels. New legislation can stop this from happening again. If passed, it will allow only veterinarians to euthanize dogs in commercial breeding kennels, and will provide a better quality of life and higher standards of care for the dogs. Dogs are suffering because of puppy mill profiteering. You can help. Sign the petition and send a message to Pennsylvania lawmakers that we will not stand for animal abuse. |

| Has anyone signed this? It's really important and I find it hard to believe that no one has even read this thread or cared enough to sign or even respond. Aren't we all on the same page with puppy mills? |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Eighty dogs shot due to flea bites!! This is outrageous! Governor Rendell tells of the case where 80 dogs were shot. The kennels had been inspected and 80 dogs needed veterinary care due to flea and fly bites, instead of paying for the vet care, it was more cost effective to shoot the dogs. There is no law in Pennsylvania that says this shouldn't be done. The kennel operator is allowed to open up a new kennel, with a new fresh license since shooting the dogs isn't illegal. Please sign the petition, there is very short legislative calendar and the governor needs to sign the bill before the end of the years. The puppy mill lobby is very strong, lets be stronger. Stop this abuse now. Thanks for posting this, great video explaining this law, please watch it, and sign!

| THANK YOU THANK YOU, I wish everyone would understand how rampant this problem is in PA. It is a huge issue and no one seems to care if they don't have to see it and if they can get dogs cheap. It is just soo sad. |
