| I just got accepted to NKU! (Northern Kentucky University) Sorry I'm just excited so I thought I'd let ya'll know! I graduated high school in 2004 and am just now going back. I just wasn't motivated AT ALL right after high school. I went to Miami University for a month then just stopped going. I'm 23 now and I've been in the "real world" (I've lived on my own for the past 2 years) and am sick of having these crappy paying random jobs and am REALLY looking forward to having a career that I love. I start class this Monday! I'm excited but kind of nervous! My mom and I went to the campus today and it's AWESOME! Really clean and beautiful.

| How exciting!! I decided to keep going after high school and am getting my Masters now. Let me tell you, this is one of the best decisions you will ever make! Good luck to you and let me know if I can be of any help! Don't worry about being nervous, I get nervous even now on the first day of class, you just don't know what to expect! But you'll be fine! Do you know what you want to go into? Go with your strengths and what you enjoy. I loved math/numbers so it was natural for me to go into engineering. You can pick whatever you want, just make sure its something you can see yourself doing for the rest of your life Good luck to you and keep us updated!

| Congrats! It's hard to make a decision about a career when you're just 18-or-so and sometimes it takes a little time out on your own to really know yourself. In high school, I was very influenced by my parents and finished college with a teaching degree. It was a good career for me. Best of luck in whatever path you follow.

| Congratulations! How exciting to get that acceptance letter. If you weren't motivated after high school then waiting to go to college was the best decision you could have made. I forced myself through undergrad not knowing what I really wanted to do (but feeling that I had to go) and graduated with a degree that I got minimal use out of. Since then I've completely changed fields/interests and have gone back to school to pursue them. It has worked out, but if I could go back I would have waited until I was excited about school and a little more focused to go to undergrad. Best of luck to you! I hope you absolutely love it. Are you leaning toward any particular field? |

| I didnt start college until I was 23 either. There were a few colleges I wanted to go to when I graduated hs, but my parents couldnt afford it, and there werent any scholarships available to me. So I had to wait until I was an independent student to get the grants to go to college. But I now have a degree to teach Science.

| Congratulations! Glad you are back to goals. Where are you headed? I was older (ahhhmmmm) when I went back and completed my BSN. As memtioned before we need nurses if you are headed in that direction. The largest percentage of nurses at present are over 45yo. I'm teaching nursing orientation today and we have 11 new nurses this month (not nearly enough). There are plently of open positions in the NY/NJ area
