| Macbook vs Macbook Air I know there are some Mac fan out here... so I want to hear you guys' opinions. I am debating between Macbook and Macbook Air. Right now... I am thinking about Macbook black... because it has better rating. Macbook Air is definitely attractive but they are much slower and no CD/DVD drive.... Which laptop do you have? HOw do you like yours?

| I have a 4 1/2 yr old iBook - which I absolutely love love love! I would love to have the mac air - but only because of the light weight. I have a back/shoulder problem and I don't like to/can't carry heavy things. So the mac air is perfect for me. I'll probably hold out though and wait till the mac air has all the bugs worked out and is faster - I'm definitely not into slower! That means that I will probably buy a new macbook, before the mac air. But I can see a mac air in my future!

| I had ibook a few years ago and switched to pc. That was a huge mistake. Even I got Vaio and I am a true Japanese but ... I guess Mac is for me... So I have been patient to switch back to the mac.. and it is about time. I thought about Pro.. but I probably won't to buy a new one in a few years.. so I thought maybe I don't need to get greatest spec.... but I know they are great though.

| I agree with Rowdy's mom....I too have the iBook G4 and it's about 4-5 yrs old and I just amped up the memory to max it out and I love it. No problems here. If you go with Mac you can't go wrong, IMO. I also have heard it is best to not purchase the First of anything....it's true that they need to get all of the quirks figured out first.

| I just have the regular white MacBook and I love it!! Got it for Xmas and once you go Mac, you don't go back!! I will be changing out my Dell desktop for a Mac soon also. I think the Macbook Air looks like it would break in half if you actually take it somewhere with you!! It looks cool but I would worry that the screen would crack.

| I just bought the white Macbook in March and I love it! I just couldn't justify the additional money for the air.

| If I was going to get either a MacBook or the Air... I'd get the MacBook. Larger hard drive and costs less. That being said, I have a MacBook Pro. |

| I decided to buy a macbook black... In a couple years I am sure I would want to a new one.. so I didn't necessary need pro.. but this would be okay! And it is true.. it is better to wait for 2nd generation than buying 1st generation.. so I will skip air for this time. I am very excited. Mac OS is always awesome.. and iLife etc.. I am going to the apply store on the day of my birthday... it is 19 more days.. We get a student discount... so free ipod.. cool!
