| please any ideas will help! so i posted a while back that i needed ideas to raise money for the avon walk for breast cancer. if anyone has any mroe ideas i would appreciate it sooo much! were already going to be doing a yard/bake sale in a couple weeks, and i have a donation jar sitting on my desk for clients that come in and out of the office, ive sent out emails and letters to friends and family members, and i just dont know what else to do. we have about 9 weeks left until the walk and i still need to raise about $1200 last year it wasnt nearly as hard to raise the money.. i think mostly because the economy wasnt as bad. anything you can come up with would be great! btw... the link in my signature is to my avonwalk page so you can check that out.

| Have you tried talking to local companies? Maybe they would sponsor you and use it as a tax deduction? Maybe talk to a newspaper about doing a story on the walk. You could put something on Ebay and say what the money is going for. Ask on Craigslist. That's about all the ideas I have. Good luck!!

| I think Tina gave you some good ideas. That is what I was going to suggest. Try local businesses, churches, a newspaper article. There was an article in our local newspaper asking for donations for a local soldier and his wife said that she has received 6,000 items so far. Also our local Sonic always lets people work for donations. Good luck.

| Lilstar I would love to help you but the distance is too far. I have a hand-poured candle business and we do fundraisers big and small with the person keeping 50% of all sales. However, I am in Georgia and the shipping would kill us. Do a search on the internet for a candle business near - they may can help you. I have a lady that does it for breast cancer and we put a label on top that says "Candles for the Cure" Good luck,

| How about putting on a big yard sale? Ask your neighbours to chip in to donate stuff for the sale with proceeds going to your charity. At my work 50/50 draws are popular...people buy raffle tickets for $3 each or 2 for $5 - half the proceeds go to the charity, half the proceeds go to the winner of the draw. |
