BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | Ugh!!! Last night I took the kids to see the fireworks at our fair grounds and as we were leaving my van totally took a capooie on me Called progressive because we have free road side assistance and go figure, they have no one in my area who can tow it! Why on earth am I paying for something if they can't provide the service? Ohhh they tell me to have it towed and they will reimburse me! GRRRRRR |

| My insurance State Farm is the same way. They have the same services as AAA but I just have to pay them in advance and they usually send me the check in a few days.

| so sorry - what an end to a great night. How did you get home and did the van get towed? When we have coverage, we should have coverage!

| I am so sorry that you had such a rotten ending to a wonderful evening with the kids. I hope that your van isn't "too sick". |

I'm not sure how much it costs on your car ins. for the towing, but if you can, I'd delete it and use the money for a AAA membership. They've got so many other great services ...you can pay your car regist., get maps, traveller's checks, along with the towing and the roadside assistance (tire and battery help); it's really saved me a lot of times. And now, the've got the Plus membership which is really good if you travel a lot to a job or something; they'll tow you further than the closest AAA affiliated station. Costs a little more, but it's worth it for us. Hope your car gets well soon

| Oh I'm sorry. I've never had any issues. I have AAA, biggeset annoyance is that it can take up to an hour before someone gets there. I bought my Toyota last year and I got free roadside assistance. Thankfully I haven't had to use it yet. I'm really sorry that happened to you, I know how bad it stucks to be broke down.

| OH I love having AAA! I've been a member for 11 years now... at first it was hard because they were smaller and it could take up to 2 hours to get a tow ... but now there is always someone in my area and there in about 20 mins if I need anything. AAA offers insurance and roadside assistance. The INsurance prices cannot be beat.. i got my car and house on there for LESS than I paid for car alone at Geico.
