BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | Thanks so much! I just have no idea how much it would cost to do this. I really think my idea is good and so does my family, but who's to say others may think it's not. I'm not rich, that's for sure, so would a patent lawyer tell me if he thought it was worth patenting? |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Whatever you do, just be careful, a friend of my husband had an idea, he called some place that promised to help him, after almost a year of not having anything done, his idea was stolen!

| I say call a few places or email them and ask how much they would charge. Also i would research how to apply on your own. I think there are companies that contract with you to protect your idea during the process. |

| My husband has a patent but his company applied for it for him (since they actually own it ). I think the hardest part is the patent search to be sure your idea hasn't already been patented. If that's the case, you could probably search out enough information on the internet to hire an attorney to do a patent search for you and then apply for it yourself. Make sure you have a confidentiality agreement before you breath a word of your idea to anyone. Good luck- it sound exciting!
