| tell me what you think of this business for dogs and humans! ok so im a senior in business major and a minor in animal behavior. and me and another friend what to start a dog grooming salon business, but! we want to be able to include the humans!!!! so we were thinking, while your dog was getting groomed you could get a haircut! or your nails done! and what about a massage? your dog would like one too! at the same time in the same room! so what do you guys think? would you take your dog to this kind of business so you could get pampered too? or would you rather just the dog get pampered and you go back to work, also we wanted to offer doggy daycare and boarding, and self wash services, also sell top quality dog food that you only get from a dealer, and sell some homemade doggy treats, like the yorkie yummies. and some bows on display that are made by you guys! so what do you think? do you think it would be a flop? or a success? would you use a dog grooming salon that could pamper you too? and not just your dog? |

| oh,...and we want to be the only salon with an actuall good website, with price listings on it so you dont get surprised at checkout, and we want to be the cheapest...with the highest quality. me and her will be running it from the start, so we want to make sure every pet gets their quality time...we just have been so aggravated with the salons around, you never get a website, and if you do they never have prices or any good info about their policies and practices. and when i drop my dog off for his cut, i feel left out! so we thought what about the humans,....i suppose we could include them so its not so tramatic. LOL |

| Well I'd be excited to go to a groomer that owned yorkies because they would better know how you like them groomed. I still haven't taken Lexie and Tucker out of fear that they'll come back shaved I would love to get a massage or other pamperings while my pups were getting groomed. It would be awesome to be able to watch you work too! Then I'd feel a lot safer getting them groomed. Oh and the selling high quality foods idea is GENIUS!!! There are so few places you can get it that I think that's excellent. Good luck! I think you have an awesome journey ahead of you!

| I think it's a fantastic idea, but only if you do it close to me! Seriously thought, I love it, I don't usually go to a hairdresser, but it would give me the perfect excuse to get my nails done again. The website especially would be wonderful, with detailed prices. Good luck, I would just do everything in phases, don't jump into all the different sections at once. Tara |

| Great idea. I personally would like to see how my baby is doing during her groom so if I can view from window or something will be a nice bonus. I like the idea of getting my nail done since I take Momiji to my nail salon anyway. Price will be important for me. It doesn't have to be the cheapest ever but reasonable. I would like to receive a good quality service for my precious baby and for myself as well. And open on Saturday and Sunday. I can't take her during weekday so it has to be open on weekend. So where is the shop??? I want to make an appointment!! lol |

| Don't mean to be a downer but check your state and city laws. Some don't allow animals in saloons for health issues. Don't know why I only know that it does exist. A lady I met had a pet store in Panama city beach and was changing it over to be a hair saloon and wasn't allowed to bring her own pets to work anymore! Even though it was a salon and a pet supply store |

| LOVE the idea!! Just some things to think about. You will need top notch scheduling, because some people will want to be their with their dogs and some won't. So it will be a challenge in the scheduling department to fill all the spots in both areas when they want to come together PLUS the separate spots for those that don't want to come together (all to stay in business!). Will you cater to only people with pets? That would help determine your layout. If it's only people with pets, it will be easier if you want the areas near each other. But if you're also catering to people without pets, they may not be interested in sitting near pet areas. Also, just some of the things that I love about my groomer.... they are holistic groomers, so like you want to, they offer top notch food and treats. But they also have tons of the newest information and newest research (Do your dogs need to be vaccinated every year?, What natural products help with ear infections?, etc.) That always makes me feel like I'm in the right place. Good Luck!

| WOW GREAT IDEAS!!!!! yes the schedule thing is going to be crazy! becuase i dont know how i could do it. but having one groomer doing all the drop offs and another doing the ones at the same time with owner might help. i did look up the health codes. and there is a loop hole. it doesnt say pets arent allowed just that they arent allowed near the equipment. now how far near is? i dont know but ill do more research. and i think i will cater to only people who have pets. becuase if you want your nails done there and you dont like pets. well i think your in the wrong place.!!! lol also i diff. wanted to do the part where you could come watch me and the others groom your dog. in fact i think that would be better so that way no mistakes different styles are made. like....for example. you drop off your full show coated yorkie and say a trim, and pick him up and OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG a puppy cut. that would be avoided if the owner could stay or give specific directions. oh gosh so many ideas. of course ill start slow. but we were just shooting ideas. and we are meeting tomorrow to discuss your oppionions and ideas in more details. and ways to fix things. like the scheduling issure, state health codes and such, to see if something like that would be possible. again keep them posting!!! lol thanks !!!!! your the best YT! P.S. Akina!!! rest assured that the very first thing out of my mouth about the business to my friend was.....we MUST be open on saturday and sunday!!!!! that is one of the most annoying things!!!!!!!!!! lol so we will be open on saturday and sunday and we have already figured out that we want to stay open till 8p.m. maybe later for the folks getting off work! |

| I don't think i'd ever get my haircut where my dog got their haircut, but I think a manicure or pedicure would be great! I don't think too many ppl would want to get their hair cut.. they'd associate their stylist with a dog...and assume it wouldn't look good.. know what I mean?
