| Well the surgery went great. Actually I have had both knees done. The first time, I was really back up the next day. Pain was gone. The second one didn't stop hurting but that was because I had arthritis soooooo bad. Five months ago I had both knees replaced at the same time. I can honestly say it was the best thing because I really have no more knee pain. I'm sure you will do great and be up and around in no time at all.

| Will be thinking of you. I also had the surgery three years ago. I honestly was in less pain walking out of the hospital a few hours after surgery than I was going into the hospital. I was in very good physical condition going into the surgery and only took two weeks off from my yoga & pilates teaching schedule following. I found the recovery to be pretty easy. If you rest the first several days, elevate the leg when sitting/laying down, and ice frequently - you'll do just fine. Make sure you intentionally move around and use the stairs after the first couple days. This will help the healing. Because of my teaching schedule, I didn't do physical therapy as I knew I would be doing more on my own anyway. The only thing the remained uncomfortable for about a month was kneeling on the knee. Hope everything goes smooth for you!!!!
