Iowa YT Meetup!

Hi everyone!

The first official YT Iowa Meetup will be Saturday, October 6 at 1:30 pm!

We'll be meeting at a park so our yorkies can play and we can talk-we'll have a few snacks too! I'll be bringing an x-pen, but if someone else has one you may want to bring that one too. Don't forget your cameras!

If you're interested in coming, please PM either myself or Yorkiesmiles and we'll send you the details. When you PM, please include your email address, name and yorkie's name(s), and a cell phone number where you can be reached the day of the meetup.

Sorry, I guess Suzy didn't add in the part about it being in Des Moines. We'd love to have you join us. It's only about a 2 hour drive probably for you.

Bummer Almost 3 from where I am At I may just have to wait for the YT meet in KC If it ever get settled. I just don't think I can drive that far right now.

yeah - a maybe! If you know anyone else in Neb. or Council Bluffs area with yorkies maybe they would come with you !

We have the information posted online at the Des Moines Register & hopefully it will run in print several places in the paper. We are hoping to find some yorkie members who are not on YT yet!!

Didn't Suzy do a grand job on the poster?? I was so impressed. We're going to be busy hanging them up around town & hope to get the message about about yorkietalk.

The ones I know Are here and the one that are not I don't know well. I would love JeanieK to come with me but I am sure she has Alot going on with her hubby being so ill. But I'll look and maybe post it on Dogster?
it does conecern me though with all the thefts going on people knowing the'll be a bunch of yorkies there.

Oh, I didn't know about JeanieK's husband.

Yes, the thought crossed my mind about letting people know in the general public about theft. Part of me thinks this is Iowa - that's not going on here. But I know being naive isn't the best - can I'm afraid it may be only a matter of time before the thefts that are occuring so much in Calif. & the east coast spread across the country. It's just we know there are other yorkie owners out there that don't know about yt & that want to get together. There are 3 posted on meetup.com that want to get a grp going in this area, but it cost money to start a group there - so we are hoping a few posters will help get the word out.

I thought of meetup.com to. I think it is crazy what they want!
dogster does have meet up groups as well for free

I thought about that too...but it's a really busy park, with lots of people and dogs and kids around, and we're going in the middle of the day...
