| vet in Kansas or Missouri? My husband and I are looking for a better vet for Lexie's spay. Our current vet was very wary about doing the surgery because she's only 4-6 lbs. and he said it's like operating on a preemie baby, no guarantees. I don't like that kind of attitude so I want to find someone with more experience and confidence. I love my baby so much and couldn't handle it if something happened to her. Please help us find someone good!

| I know it's quite a drive, but you can always come to Kansas State. I know they'll do it!

| Not sure where you are, but the University of Missouri in Columbia has a veterinary teaching hospital. It's a little pricey, but people drive in from ALL over for surgeries and such. I used to take my kitty there but I found a less expensive vet. They're really great at the hospital, though!

| Come spend the day in Marysville. My vet has done a spay on ksbiewers tiny 3 pound girl. The charges are very reasonable too. In a couple of weeks I will be free to entertain you during the day while you wait for the surgery and recovery. Better yet, come up the night before, so you can have her at the vet's office at 8 am. She will be ready to leave around 2 or 3. |

| Great Vet in Missouri The Red Barn in Shelbina, MO is a great vet, I take my babies there and my girlfriend brings her Yorkies from St. Charles, MO to them. Their number is 573-588-4472. She just had to have a C-section on one of her babies after hours and they only charged her $125. |

| I just realized that I forgot to thank all of you for your advice and kindness! Especially Kathy for offering to entertain me while I would have been there. We did however find a wonderful vet in our town and they did a beautiful job. It has been nearly a month now and Lexie is doing great! Once again thank you for everything. YT is the best!!!

| So glad you found a vet you were comfortable with. That means so much when dealing with our babies. Also happy that Lexi's spay is behind her and she is on her way to being back to "normal" |
