Senior Yorkie Talker | Anyone familiar with U of M, Ann Arbor, MI I will be driving to Ann Arbor to meet my west coast niece for a few hours while she is visiting U of M. I have my new pup. I also have a stealthy carrier tote/handbag. I will bring him with me, but do not know where two out of towners can meet up. Prior to getting my little Yorkie, we'd just meet for lunch. Now?? So if there is anyone familiar with the campus or Ann Arbor in general and knows of a venue, please let me know. Anyone else with an idea? For example, meeting at a Panera's would be perfect, they are pet friendly in the summer when you can sit outside. In winter, are they still pet-friendly enough to tote my little guy in and keep him in the carrier. We went out already and he loved the carrier, was very happy. How about a place to have coffee? Need Ideas!!

Senior Yorkie Talker | Haven't gone yet, but I found a couple places online that looked interesting and called them and asked if they had a problem with me coming in with Jack in his carrier bag. Both said "No Problem!" Even asked if going into the cafe was a problem and was told, "No Problem!" So I am all set! And I don't have to feel like I am a sneak or need to be going covert!

I am finding it is a bit of a twist to things now that I have my little Jack, winter seems to be a bit more challenging than summer I guess. Just a readjust to the old, "Hey lets have lunch". Good to know about Zingermans, I did call several places and just ask if he is welcome if he stays in his carrier and so far everyone has been very nice saying yes. (I did not call any full service restaurants.)

| Pet friendly restaurants Wow, I didn't know Zingerman's was pet friendly. We go to Ann Arbor a lot, and always end up eating at a fast food place because I am not leaving my Yorkie alone in a car. Great to know!
