| Is your male yorkie aggressive? Toto is 10 months and he is really aggressive when it comes to my 17 year old brother. I mean to point where he will literally attack my brother. He has literally cut his leg before. And just now my mom spilled some fruit juice and Toto got a taste of it and saw my brother coming near the spilled juice and started attacking my brother. He bit my brother on the private really hard. Because my mom said that my brother ran to the room pratically crying. And then after 30 minutes my brother was getting ready for work, and Toto started attacking him again. What to do? Is this normal? How do i get Toto to stop?

| Yikes! Stomper is playful and sometimes unpredictible, but he has never done anything like that...You might want to consult with your vet to see if they can help give you ideas to prevent this. I certainly hope that nobody is playing real rough with your baby when you are not around...that could cause such behavior. Good luck

| I don't know why Toto would do that. Hmmm... I would call your vet and maybe enroll Toto in some obedience training. |

| Aggressive First question is he fixed? If not, get him neutered as soon as possible. Next, let your brother take over some of the care of the pup. Have your brother feed, water and walk the dog. Another thing is for you/your brother to take the dog on the floor, place the dog between your legs and hold him on his back, he will resist at first. Continue doing this for the next few weeks, you are showing the dog that you are the alpha. Whenever he gets aggressive, pull on his leash sharply, or grab him and say NO as loud as you can. When you leave the house with the dog, make sure that you go first (not as easy as it sounds, cause I know once my boys are on leash they tear out that door). You need to show him that you are in charge and the leader (alpha). My slightly older boy showed signs of aggression following a hospitalization. This is what I was told to do by some great dog people. It worked, Benni is meek as a lamb and knows that I am in charge. He no longer snaps at people as he was doing. Good luck with your pup. You might also seek the help of an animal trainer. |

| He should not be aggressive like that. If he has a cage or something, he needs to go into time out. Maybe your brother needs to play with him a little and make friends. Give him some pointers - to be gentle, and not to tease the baby taking away his things or something. I think if you let toto get away with biting your brother, you may continue to run into those problems. Nip it in the bud.

| My male has started acting like that as well. He is very well loved and probably spoiled. I am going to try the holding on his back as suggested in this forum. He also attacked my older son for no reason. We got him fixed thinking that would solve the problem yet now he is acting that way with me... |
