| New members who need help – a suggestion: I’ve been noticing this “problem” on YT for awhile. It’s easily remedied so I’m going to suggest it here now: When posting on this forum, please be as explicit as possible in creating a subject heading for your post. Generic things like “new owner,” “need help” or “Oh no!” may not direct the attention of the right person to answer your question. YT gets hundreds of posts everyday and it would be a shame for someone who comes here, really needing help with a specific problem, not to get the help she needed because people passed over her post, not knowing it was a request for assistance on a specific issue. On that note, if you are having trouble with something like housebreaking, please don’t put a generic title, esp, a euphemistic expression as “training’ or “help with training.” Training means a whole lot more than housebreaking! There are many posts on this board concerning housebreaking so my first suggestion is to do a search using the search engine on the board for terms like “housebreaking” “crate training” or “wee wee pads.” (also read the wonderful faqs post that admin put up recently!) If you don’t see anything that specifically answers your question, please consider typing “housebreaking question – my dog wont Blank.” Questions and posts on this board range from friendly chit chat to serious problems like deathly ill dogs, biting dogs and runaway dogs. Speaking for myself now, I would want to be able to rank the order of priority in which I respond to people’s posts by knowing what it is that they need help with. The more serious and time sensitive stuff should be delt with first but if I can’t tell from your post that your dog just ran out the door and has been missing for four hours, it might take four weeks before you get an answer. Fortunatly there are hundreds of people on this board so I hope that every question gets answered daily, but a simply way to help assure that is the case ,it be careful on what you title your post. Thanks! |

| Great post yorkipower!! The subject of the title makes a big difference. I try to read all post on YT but one's with subjects like "Help-My Dog's Having a Seziure" I read first verses a subjects like "I Have A Question". to Yorkipower for helping our new members out! |
