| Has any one seen a short haired yorkie puppy We purchased a yorkie from a breeder in Hartford. It doesn't seem to be growing much hair on its body. It has hair on its face and legs but short on it belly and back. Is this normal? |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Here's a picture of my little girl when we first got her at 10 weeks. Her hair was very short; her 3 brothers all had fluffy longer hair. It took a while, but look at her today...

| They usually have black curly hair at that age, unless she had a hair cut.

| A 12 week old yorkie puppy should be pretty fluffy. Does your puppy have a coarse coat? Coarse coats grow slower

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | my yorkie is a year old now. When i took her home at 13 weeks she was a giant poof ball of fur. i've seen some with shorter hair as babies. they just take a little longer for their fur to grow out. how does her hair feel? is it soft, thick, thin, wirey, or course?
