| Jealous humans? The Nolife Club thread inspired me to post this... Does anyone else find that their boyfriend/girlfriend/significant other tends to get a little bit jealous of the time/attention you give your babies? My boyfriend and I have only had Tito for about a month now and before then we had a very active social life...we're both heavily involved in the music scene here so our lives pretty much revolved around going out to shows/concerts/events, etc... Lately I've been wanting to stay home all the time with Tito and hardly go out anymore. My bf is feeling kind of slighted cause he's always out solo now. And it's not just at night..he gets mad that we can't just pick up and go whenever. Even though he absolutely adores the dog, I think he feels he's been replaced. More than anything I think he misses our old spontaneous lifestyle. Now it's always...I gotta get home and feed/walk/bathe/play with Tito, I can't leave Tito alone all night he'll be sad/he'll cry/he'll get scared, etc... etc... etc... Or better yet...let's take Tito with us! Is it normal for people to get jealous of a pet? I, personally, think it's kind of ridiculous though cute. Is it because this is new? P.S. I can't say that I'm too terribly upset about the change though.....I'm getting way more sleep! LOL

| I know what you mean! My husband says I don't even say hi to him anymore when I come home-it's all about Pippa! I tell him that he doesn't come racing at top speed to greet me and do the butt wiggling happy dance! Maybe he should try that technique! |

| My boyfriend isn't jealous of the attention that I give the dogs - he's jealous of the attention that the dogs give me! LOL - he always wants them to give him kisses or sit on his lap, but they usually want me!!

| LOL I had the same issue with my Hubby when Tyson first came he was mad for days on end and wanted nothing to to with the lil guy but now he likes him and plays with him when i am not around. They are TV buddies and even the breeder said it to me that Tyson will wind up winning his love and he will love the lil guy just as much and he was right. We go out and Tyson sit in his lap while he drives and sits in the car with him and refuses to come out with me... so hence your fellow will get over it just give him time. |

| My bf seems to think he is the alpha of the house (lol..little does he know the vet after seeing both of us with Maximus and together seems to think the opposite..lol) so of course he thinks that Maximus will do whatever he say (yeah right..lol)..and that got hi over his jealousy...so know he doesn't bother me about Maximus following me , listening to me, and coming to me for attention because e thinks when it's rule time...he is the enforcer..my fault he was feeling bad one day..I suggest everyone tries it..lol..stroke the ego

| My Husband loves Desi as much as I do, so there is no problem there. BUT, my 26 year old son (the baby of the family) is showing signs of jealously. He says all you hear at my house is "DESI- DESI- DESI" Desi did this...Desi did that... He tells me "Come on Mom..she's a dog" to which I reply "Don't talk that way about your sister" .. |

| My husband is not jealous of me he gets jealous when Sophie spends a lot of time with me. He tries to win her affection by taking out the bows I put in her hair. The bad thing is it works. His whole family can't believe how he is with her. They say that they would have never believed that he would love a little dog so much. She seems to have that affect on a lot of people. |

| When we first got Riley, I was jealous because he was my mom's new baby. She rocked him to sleep and everything! But I got over it! LOL! But let me tell you, I was convinced that she loved him more than she loved me! LOL |

| Robert is not one to be the "jealous" type, hahaha and is as sweet to Schatzie as I. He does often say though "I wanna be your dog" and it makes us laugh as he usually says it when Im smooching all over Schatzie.

| Teddy came into our home not by my choice. I hate telling people that but it is true. My husband was very insistant that he needed a little buddy and so he enlisted the help of our 12 year old to convince me that we really needed this new little addition. I already had 3 dogs one of which was a Doxie who was mama's boy. So, I while I did put up a fight I obviously gave in...they went together and picked him out since it was going to be their puppy. Fast forward...the new puppy enters our home and I think he just knew that I was the mama and it was love at first sight! He likes my husband and daughter but he is my baby. I don't think either of them are super jealous of him but I have heard a few "He is not my brother so quit calling him that" and Man, if only I could have half of the attention you show him I would be a very happy man" Teddy does have me more than just a little wrapped around his little paw I guess....
