| Toys Gone In A Flash! Do any of you have a Yorkie who is an agressive chewer?? WOW, Sweet lady like Schatzie can destroy a toy in a moments flash and Im feeling a bit frustrated. Maybe she likes to play Pit Bull who knows??? I would like to know of any recommendations could be given for really cute strong squeeker or plush toys, and hear your experiences. Schatzie isn't too crazy about the "Kong" type toys as I have tried many. I feel as if Robert and I are buying new toys on a weekly basis to continue replacing the one's she continues to destroy. The new toy that Aimee sent her was the most adorable pink flower that squeeks, oh that lasted one day. It isn't the quality of the toy that is the issue it's Schatzie just doesn't seem to understand when I beg her to take more care of toys. I just don't have the time/energy to constantly sew these toys back up and add new squeekers. Which by the way I so far am missing 4 squeekers!!! Maybe I need to squeeze Schatzie's belly and if she squeeks I know where they are at!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | lol...squeeze her belly !! Now THAT's an idea She must be stashing them somewhere ! Mine have one of those silent squeakers that they love to run around with - everytime I put it back in the toy - they take it out and have more fun with it like that ....Yorkies are pretty determined - I wish I could tell you a strong toy that won't come apart - but if your baby is THAT good at it ...maybe just buy extra squeakers in bulk ? lol...I can see it now - Toyless squeakers for sale ! |

| Schatzie's mama, that's so funny about squeezing Schatzie's belly to see if it squeeks! Bo tears up toys too. Sometimes it seems that the ones that last the longest are the basic cheepo rubber balls that squeek and come 6 to a pack. My pups also both love this cheap barbell thing.

| You can buy squeekers in bulk!! Toto wears squeekers out too! I have found that the small Dr. Noy toys are the best .... they have a velcro opening on their belly and come with an extra squeeker plus you can buy more extra ones by the bag!!

| Tucker is doing everything he can to destroy his rope bone, but it seems to be holding up very well. It doesn't squeak, but he still loves to play with it.

| All of you have it easy. Jeremiah and Jane work as a team to destory their toys. They're like Ike and Tina Salt and Pepper Peanut Butter and Jelly Peaches and Herb As one they destory everything in site. They got in trouble because they ripped one of my mom's favorite couch pillows. Luckily they were off the hook because they are just too darn cute. Yesterday they took the fluff out of BeBe. Jeremiah's stuff Bumble Bee. Poor Thing, I felt sorry for it. It insides everywhere...LOL

| Noah loves the Dr Noy toys. He has a little sheep that he will go crazy for! He loves to chew, but luckily he seems to know to difference between his chew toys and his play toys. The only thing is, if he can't find one of his bones he just decides to chew on the corner of the nearest wall. Other than that, he does pretty well. |

| I can bring home a brand new Squeaky toy,,,and within 1-2 mins flat,,the squeaky is loose inside the toy,,It is the first thing he goes for. I have found that if I buy toys with the squeaky in the middle of the toy, rather than on an end,, it takes him longer to break it. Sometimes its a blessing when the squeaker breaks..(usually)!! He still plays with them after he breaks them!

| Word of caution about infant toys!! I occasionally buy "human" baby toys for Toto if they are safe ... i.e., embroidered eyes, etc. I bought her a bright colored "doggy baby" at Christmas and it appeared safe ... everything safe, except the nose was plastic ... I always keep my eye on it to make sure she hasn't chewed a hole anywhere. She got it out and was playing with it last night and I noticed she had been chewing on the nose ... upon inspection, I found a little hole!! The reason the thing was sooooo soft, it is stuffed with the softest foam rubber I have ever seen!! I saw on Animal Planet Emergency Vets, a dog that had eaten foam from a mattress and I think [if my memory serves me correctly] the dog died! Anyway, I said all that, to say ... please be careful of the condition of your babies toys and make sure that they stay safe for them to play with!!

| *sigh* Leila does that too. My husband calls her the Termite. Nothing is safe. Nylabone? GONE in 30 minutes. Rawhide edible twisty thing? 15 minutes. Stuffed toys? Less than a week. Tennis balls? An hour, tops. So far the survivors have been this ruffle ball I made (she's on the second one in just under 2 years, not bad!) and a rope bone. I decided not to buy pricey toys anymore just because I thought they were cute. Chewy Vuitton anyone? |
