Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | GREAT Grooming Link For those of you who want to groom your yorkie yourself....Go see this and see if it gives you an idea of how to cut...Some sites offer a video but you have to buy it...http://www.ytca.org/grooming_clips1.html This has other information also and I WISH I saw this back when Cheri got a bad cut from a groomer..It's pretty good information A tip for members ...I save useful links in a WORD Document - just copy & paste the hyperlink....then I write a short description on what the link is for - They're all on one page ....you never know when you're going to think - "Hey - I saw that someplace" ! just an FYI for new forum posters

| THANKS!!! Great information, especially for me since I'm debating grooming the monkeys myself! This may be a phase I'm going through but I'm gonna give it a try! I'll keep you updated on any progress I may make haha |

On the 3rd day...poor Chanel saw me hauling out the 'hair tools' and just walked her little butt over to the grooming table & stood there looking up at me like "Can we get this over with Mom ?...I got stuff to do "

| Thanks Redvette!!!! I ahve been considering it too myself, but sill not sure!! My clients always ask me if I cut Weeg myself since I am a hairdreser, and I tell them no way!!! They tell me that I should since I already know how to cut hair. But do they realize how feisty Luig coud be??? NO!!! hehe I say to them--It would be an all day project for me!!! |

| Thanks Villette! It took me three times the first time, too. That is great information, I have been trying to look at pictures in books and on websites to figure out how to do their legs. I have them like the puppy cut, but I am growing out Zowie's topknot, she lets me put a band on it now. I guess I will leave Bronx short with the westie face. He is a pain.

| Villette - what sort of table do you use. Bar height? Do you tie them to it so they can't jump off - or just hold on tight?

Laura - My table is just an average waist high long table....they stay pretty well because I ONLY use it for grooming...I usually keep my hand on them... or hold their front leg at all times just in case.. Mine is setup outside so if they DO jump, which hasn't happend yet...they'll land on grass...but I do keep a good hold of them...
