| Newbie here, with a Morkie (or Yorktese?) Hey, just joined the forums today. A little over a week ago I bought an adorable Yorktese from Petland (yes, I know ...). I named him Fitzgerald Hemingway. We call him Fitzy. This is my first dog, so I'm still learning. The hardest part seems to be getting my mother and my fiancee to follow the same rules I set for the puppy. Does anyone else have a Morkie? |

| Welcome to YT! He is cute and what a great name! Getting everyone to follow the rules is tough, expecially when they are so cute, but stick with it, it will pay off in the long run. And no, to answer your question, I don't have a morkie or yorktese.

| nope, no experience with a morkie here but your baby is ADORABLE! you have 2 wonderful breeds in one little bundle of love I feel your pain...i had to train my hubby to follow the same rules I set for our doggies but it is paying off and we have 3 very well behaved, wonderful dogs hubby got used to it but I will admit, it was hard to get him to budge. he was sooooooooo set in his ways and is a sucker for a sad puppy face he gives in to the doggies so easily. you'll get there...just stick to your guns.

| I don't have a morkie, but I have a yorkie and a maltese. They are both wonderful breeds.

| I heard that a Morkie has a Maltese mom and a Yorkie dad, and Yorkteses are vice versa. Fitzy has a Yorkie mom so I guess that makes him a Yorktese, but since it's not an official breed, it probably doesn't matter all too much. And yes, he's adorable. In fact, I walked in that pet store with absolutely no intention of getting a dog. We've gone there to play with puppies dozens of times, and I guess I just fell in love this time! |
