| Danger in the Bathroom A little while ago I was in the bathroom and Jack was watching the water in the toilet flush, Yuk. At first I thought it was cute, but then I remembered a story that I heard a few years ago. An American couple in the Air Force had taken their Yorkie to England where they were being stationed. After spending the required 6 months in quarantine, they picked the little guy up and took him home. A couple of days later he jumped up to the toilet and the seat came down on his head and killed him. This is so sad, but it made me realize again that the dangers for these little guys is everywhere, and I will "always" put the seats down after using the toilet. My husband has been warned, again, "put the lid down".

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | OH...WOW...I would NEVER think of that one - Can I add that to the Safety tips thread ? I can just copy and paste your whole post there ...I might make up one single sheet of all the things we need to be careful of when having small pets and this would be a great addition to all the others we have already... |

| I would have never thought of that as a danger to these lil guys. Thanks for sharing. Now to see how I can get the boys of the house to put the lids down. |

| You never know that you are a creature of habit, until you have read something like this. I have kept the seat down since my son was a baby. He is now 37, married and a family of his own. Now with Maggie in the house, the habit will still be with me. Thanks for sharing.
