Kikko has some long eye stains/tears lately. he's never really had before. he'd have his eye boogers .. hehehe but in the past couple of days i've noticed he's had some major tears going on. i wonder what's causing it. anybody out there have any ideas? I haven't switched his diet at all but he has bee n spending the day with my parents' yorkie more. could it possibly be the weather? it has been getting pretty hot and humid .... i'm baffled

| Could be allergies, could be the water, treats. Hair could be poking his eyes. Could be alot of things. With ours I did a process of elimination.

| yea my first thought would have been the hair in the eyes, but i gave him a trim a few days ago and the tear stains began afterwards. i'm so confused ... i do remember somone mentioning beet pulp caused their furbabies tear stains. i think i'll switch to different treats (current ones are lean treats, and they have beet pulp)

| I also heard that beet pulp can stain. A friend of mine told me she gives her dog distilled water to drink because that keeps their eyes from staining. I have never tried it. Nancy, Sami & Lily |
