| Cooper was soooo Mad! Anyone ever Experience this?? This just happened and I am still not quite believing it... A little background... Cooper was 1 year old in November, I have had him since he was 9 weeks old and I am home with him pretty much 24/7, and never leave him alone more than 3/4 hours max. I have once gone out of town and hubby took care of him and even took him to work with him so he wouldn't be alone all day. Cooper was thrilled to see me when I returned. So, we live in Wa state and have a home in Texas, as well, which we go to 3-6 times a year and Cooper flys with us. So, end of Feb. we go to Texas, stay there 3 weeks. My oldest son lives in Texas, so we visit him and his apartment a few times etc., Cooper is very familiar with the place. My husband is thinking about transferring to Indiana and was there working for 12 days while we stayed in Texas. I decide to fly out to Indiana for only 2 days to check it out and leave Cooper and Carley with my son and his girlfriend. They know the drill, not left alone, lots of attention, they understand we treat these dogs as our babies. They do the same. Well, I miss them terribly, again, I am NEVER away from these dogs!! So, I come home and Cooper GROWLS at me, lays down his ears and won't come near me!! I was shocked!!! He did this all night long!!! Thrilled to see husband who had been gone for 12 days!! What the heck? Of course, at the time I was heart broken and cried that he was doing me that way...I am his MOMMY!! He was better the next day and perfectly back to normal now, but I am still astounded that he acted this way!! My husband, trying to console me, said it was because he loved me SO MUCH that he did this! Has this ever happened to anyone else? I have heard/read dog's don't hold grudges or do things from spite, but quite frankly after witnessing this behavior first hand, I don't believe it!! Cooper was definitely MAD at me and was holding it against me!! Anybody with any thoughts or opinions on this?

| My Mom's yorkie girl (she is 5 yrs old now) will also be MAD for a whole day if my Mom leaves Town. It is really bizzare. She would love on everyone but my Mom. She even decides that, that MAD night, she wasn't sleeping in my Moms bed either, she sleeps with my sister Very Strange! And then the next day as if nothing ever happened! |

| OK. You already knew, I'm sure, that they can get mad and powt. So, now you know that they can really get mad and powt. Muffin would get really mad if I ever left her with the family, but she never growled at me. It always took her some time to get over being mad and back to normal. Mommies are never supposed to leave, ya know?

| Mine don't get mad, they just get upset and don't rest until I return. Last year for my 30th B-day, my best friend and I went down to FL to visit my stepmom for the weekend. So 'Daddy' was babysitting. Poor Daddy got NO sleep. TJ would stalk the edge of the bed and stair and bark and cry all night long (Roxy just stay under the covers and tried to sleep). Poor Daddy had to work early on Friday and Saturday - so he could only tolerate so far . First, he put both dogs in 'their' room and zipped them in their crate. Who thinks that worked??? hahahahaha 2 Barking and crying babies, so back to the bed they go. TJ does he act, now Daddy bring TJ and the crate into the laundry, TJ goes into the crate, gets zipped up and must be punished and spend the rest of the night alone in the laundry room (granted this was 4 am and Daddy gets up at 6 am) so it wasn't for that long. All 3 Babies were very happy when I returned |

| We had to leave Murfee for a few days...with my daughter who lives with us. Talk about mad at me. He didn't growl but he pouted and would turn his head away from me. He ignored me for the whole day. He is ok now but I am getting ready to have surgery and will be in the hospital for several days and then in a rehabilitation center. I don't know what I am going to do. He will be furious! |

| Yipes! My husband and I are leaving for Italy this summer for 25 days! I can't/don't want to bring Tia with us because we'll be staying in a small town where there are lot's of "stray"/"community" dogs that have lord knows what diseases and critters. She will be staying with my friend and her bichon (with whom Tia is best buds with)....but will she be mad at me? Well they say hell hath no fury.... I'm going to miss her to bits!

| Thanks for the responses, glad to know Cooper isn't a freak or something I HAD thought about going to Mexico for 4 days the first of May,and leaving him with my mom (whom he loves), but I really am rethinking this after this behavior...it really upset me at the time, and I still feel really bad about how upset and scared he must have been to act that way.
