| My Gizmo chews on me.. HELP He is 13 weeks.. and I am praying he only does this because he is a puppy.. at first it was cute, but now that his teeth are getting huge it really hurts and is annoying.. you can't pet him, or even brush him without getting hands chewed.. it is driving me nuts.. the only time you can pet him is when he is sleeping or tired.. please tell me this is only a puppy thing... if not how can I break him of this?? I see everyones yorkies so cute and loving looking, my gizmo is a big boy! he chews bites and doesn't like to be pampered!! but, I love him.. just gotta stop the chewing! |

Sam does the biting as well but I read on here somewhere that this person grabbed their muzzle and said NO BITE so that is what I do (gently of course) and I say in a stern voice looking him dead in the face and say.. .SAM, NO BITE! It seems to work he is doing it as often but I have to get onto my mom because she will play with him like that. I guess I could always grab her nose and tell her no Hmmm.. probably not a good idea. Anyhoo.. good luck with it. Just be consistent with whatever choose.

| Hang in there --- it is a puppy thing. Mattie was born 11/16 and he bites alot too. We keep telling him " NO BITE" every time he does it and give him a toy. We just have to be patience until those puppy teeth come out. Just image how much they must hurt. The one thing that we have gotten is a Nylabone Dental Chew Bones, the Petite one, they are blue. Mattie loves this and chews on it all the time. Better it and my hand. You can them from PetEdge.
