| I truly can not believe this: what yall think? my dogs have never worn clothes. They had one sweater each they wore for a little while xmas day for pics, they had one pair of pjs i've let them sleep in some when the nights are really cold. Now I only have maggie and we had some ice warnings for Fri night and got a little but it was down right cold. So Wed before the ice warning I went to pet depot after her vet visit. She got a little striped sweater. I put it on her and let her wear it all day Thursday and Friday till bed time. So yesterday she learned to jump on my couch and chair for the first times. I had washed and dried her sweater Friday night and laid it on the loveseat. So yesterday she kept coming to me barking and would go to the loveseat and look up and bark like crazy. I had no idea what she was barking at. then i go back in the kitchen, trying to cook and she would run to me barking then run jump on the couch and get on the pillow against the arm raring up, looking at the loveseat but it was like she was looking over it and seeing into my pc room. Anyway to make a long story shorter (if thats possible) I finally noticed the sweater, i picked it up and here she came to me, I said you want your sweater?, she stood there and ducked her little head for me to slide it over her and when I got it on her. She was fine for a little bit. then she started barking again and I ask her to show me what she wanted. she then ran to the back door to go outside. So do you think she really just wanted her sweater on after only having it for 2 days? So this morning, she went out for a while, when she came in, she did the same thing and I put her sweater on and again she barked to go outside. Hubby said, that dog has a problem. LOL. It wasnt very cold out but the wind was pretty chilly. Anyway, I still havent figured out if she truly realizes she wants her sweater on to go out. Now I've took it off and took her for a walk and its really nice and warm and she hasnt let on anymore about wanting anything. I feel stupid thinking this but it was the only thing that shut her up. Does any one believe this is actually what she wanted? That she loves that sweater already? I cant. But i'm trying to believe it.

| Could be that she wants you to start dressing her. Does she want you to leave the sweater on her when she comes back in from outside?

| shes never let on she wanted the sweater off. But today when I took it off she didnt let on she wanted it on anymore either. But she will try her best to show me what she wants. If she wants in hubby lap and he wont pick her up, she runs to me and barks like crazy and I say show me and she runs straight to his chair and rares up on the side and barks so i just pick her up and put her in his lap. Samething if she wants to go outside. she runs to me and barks, i ask her to show me, she runs straight to the back door and barks there. I open and she goes out. But I bought some new treats the other day and she would take her nose near it then push my hand away. she wouldnt even lick it. They really did stink. I'm glad she hated those as I didnt want to smell it. It was called lambs liver treat. I know not to buy that anymore. She learned yesterday that she can jump into the chair with hubby now as long as he doesnt have the foot rest out. If he is in reclining position she cant yet. She is 8 months already and just now trying to jump on things. And still hasnt jumped on the loveseat and its same as my couch. she could of jumped up there yesterday and got that sweater as it was laying up on the back of it. ok but I felt stupid even asking this about the sweater thing. gtg work on supper some more . have a good day all and thanks for not making me feel stupid.

| Woody never would wear clothes, he would fight and whine, and now he is too big. Summerlin just sits there while I dress her and she wanders around like it doesn't even bother her. I think it has to do with their personality |

| That is a darling little fur kid you have, and yes, she knew the sweater meant she would go outside. That is so adorable. Mine don't mind clothes at all, but they don't go to their chest of drawers to let me know they want something on. |

| I've said before (and I know folks think I'm crazy, especially my family) but Sissy loves to be dressed. She runs to the closet when I open it up and when I hold open a neck hole, she will put her head through it. She knows what getting jammies on means as well. She loves her nighties and knows it is cuddle time!!!

| I believe our babies are really smart! They learn so quickly. Oliver knows, as soon as I grab my jacket, it's time to go out. He sits and waits for me to put on his harness, which he'll put his head through himself, then clip on his leash, and put on his parka (for the really cold days-lighter sweaters when it's not so cold). It's a ritual we do several times every day. So he's good at it now. He's such a good boy. Then when we come back in, I"ll say to him, "wait, let me get those off you", and he'll just sit right there, where ever he is at the moment, and let me take everything off. Then, he goes crazy running around the house and rolling on the carpet. And boy, you should see his hair after that. With all the static, it sticks out all over! It's so funny. It's just too cute! lol
