| Tail Docking... As from April 6th 2007 in the UK tail docking is being banned with exemptions for working/police dogs etc. Is tail docking legal in your country and if so do you agree with puppies having their tails shortened for cosmetic purposes....would you be put off buying a Yorkie if it had a long tail as nature intended and find a breeder that docked tails? Like to know your thoughts on this subject. Thanks |

| I wouldn't agree on docking a tail anytime after the 1st few days of birth....like docking an older pup, that's too much. My baby is docked, But either way it doesn't matter to me, i would love my baby the same with or with his tail. |

| I like the look of a docked tail. If it were outlawed here I would buy a yorkie with a tail

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Someone said they banned tail docking by anyone other than a veterinarian. Does this mean that now vets can't do it? I prefer the look of a docked tail and probably would find a breeder that had it done if it wasn't outlawed. After researching the issue, I don't believe it does any harm if done early enough.
