| Weird coat changes I thought of posting, maybe anyone observed similar process? Pepper's coat keeps changing A LOT. As a young pup, he was black with a few gray roots at top of the head. Started growing black very soon, at 3 months had greay hair all over but face and paws - they stayed brown. The gray was very light at one point, almost silver some places and white on sides of paws (half brown, half whitish...). His face is tan as of today, head very light blonde, and where neck ends the hair is growing darker than it was. He's getting dark gray/black roots back where the white hair was just a month ago (some of his hair is 3 colored -puppy black, white and new black roots again ). No more silver, more like steel gray/blackish. is that normal??

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | I read that coats can change up to 3 (?) years - definitely through the second year. At 13 months, Abbie is tri-colored also. We have bluish/black, white/silver, and bondish-gold. lol

| Same here. I've seen several changes in my boyz...Jo is 2 and doesn't change as much as Riley who is 1 year 7 months. I'm anxious to see what they will look like when their full adult coat comes in. |
