| First trip to the Vet So yesterday was Woody's first trip to the vet - he is seven weeks old. Since I had to work, they told me that I could leave him there until I got off and pick him up at the end of the day. They said they would keep care of him and feed him lunch. I left him with his favorite blanket and chew toy. When I picked him up, he was a nervous wreck. He didn't want to get in the car - normally not a problem, didn't want me to hold him. It was like he was punishing me for taking him to the vet. When I put him back into his personal carrier, he burrowed into the corner and whimpered for the longest time. It was terrible! Is this normal after a trip to the vet, or will it get better? Finally, this morning, he is his usual self - happy and playful, but what was the deal with yesterday? Thanks for any tips to make these trips easier, as this is the first yorkie I have ever had. |

| Awwwwww poor little guy was probably just scared without his mommy. Simon wasn't a fan of the vet for awhile but it gets easier (well, at least it did for us). I hope he is back to his normal self now |

| My cats punish me when they go to the vet, They turn their backs and ignore us for the day then all is well the next day, Grayson on the other hand is very excited to get out of there. I had to leave him for the day a while back due to work and he was sooo excited to get into my arms and out of there!

| Well, I have been keeping him in the playpen during the day while I am at work, and coming home at lunch to feed him and let him run around for a bit, but I knew that I would have to deal with the vet if I took him home at lunch, and I live way out in the country. I would have ended up being late getting back to work, and I may have gotten in trouble, so I decided to let him stay all day at the vet. I told my husband I couldn't do that again, though, since Woody was so upset. He seems to be doing fine now, and he seems to love me again. Thank goodness... |

| If he's that young, he probably didn't really know what was happening. Just that he went to a completely new place and probably felt lost. He might've needed time to get over it. Pepper had to be left for a day and night in ER when he was about 11-12 weeks old and when I picked him up, he was so frightened and not paying attention to me at all. I'm glad your baby is better now.
