| i have a question I have a 14 week old yorkie that sleeps more than anything i have ever seen. I don't no if we are just boring or if she really need that much sleep. She will play for about 20 to 30 minutes then sleep for 3 hours. She seems to be fine she eats well and potty's fine I am just begining to wonder if maybe we hold her to much and have made her lazy what do you think. |

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Well being that she is only 3 and 1/2 months old, she is still very young, and when they are babies, they do sleep alot and they DO need it. They can play too hard and wear themselves out very, very quickly...and they usually don't know when to quit. You almost have to just pick them up and put them down for a nap, just like a real little baby. At least that's what I had to do with mine when he was a baby - he was such a little rascal (still is ) and all he wanted to do was play HARD 24/7. P.S.- Are you giving your baby any Nutri-Cal??? They need this to insure that it keeps their blood sugar up.

| I think that most 14 week old pups sleep this much. My puppy sure did. Heck - my much older dogs do the same thing! Carol Jean |

| They do sleep a bunch.... but Nutri-Cal is a really good suggestion. AND very important! ( don't let that sugar level get low!) |
