| Too good to be true? What is wrong? I found an ad in our local paper this morning for a Yorkie female puppy, registered, for only $144.56. I e-mailed the seller and have been communicating by e-mail. This seller is located in Cameroon, confirmed the price, and will ship to my home for free. I have asked many more questions. What is going on here? What could be wrong? Do you think this is a scam? I've indicated that I am very skeptical. |

| Where is Cameroon? That is such an odd price. I've never seen one listed for $$ and change. Is it stuffed? LOL I think I'd be leary too.

| I would be suspicious just for the odd dollar amount. Is it on clearance? Why not $150??? Sounds strange to me.

| Boo-hoo. I e-mailed about two others this morning. One is a 5 m/o female Morkie and another is a female Yorkie puppy (from a different seller). I'm so sad. I hope we can find a puppy for a reasonable price (according to our low budget). |

| Absolutely a scam! Stay away from anyone in Cameroon! They probably want you to pay by Western Union and won't accept paypal right? Also, they probably aren't able to send you any personalized pictures of the dog (by that I mean a picture with your name on a piece of paper in front of it and the dog in the picture as well) If they'll let you pay by paypal then paypal gives you some insurance, meaning that if you pay them and they don't send you what they've promised you'll get your money back. With Western Union there is nothing like that so once you've paid your money is gone and is never coming back. Ask them if they'll let you pay that way and ask them for a personalized picture, I can almost guarantee that you won't get answers for either of those things. When I was looking for a yorkie I was shocked at the amount of scams I ran across. It was so disheartening too because I really wanted a yorkie and just when I thought I had found one that I could afford it would turn out to be a scam. My advice to you....RUN in the opposite direction of this seller!!! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | GIRL - NO ONE Ships free unless they include it in the original price and no one sells yorkies that cheap - unless it's rescue or adoption - there are SO MANY Scams out there it's impossible to know them all but just know this - these people are VERY GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO - they're SOLE purpose is to get YOUR MONEY and they will do or say anything to get it. This is their full time job and SCAMMER needs to now be officially a Work Title cause this world is full of them now - so much more with the net - We used to have to deal with the phone scams but now scammers are selling EVERYTHING and nothing is off limits now Blame the outrageous prices of Dogs for this - with the high price of some breeds - the money is too good and too easy .... so they just keep inventing new scams & everyday someone probably falls for one. |

| Don't worry - we aren't going to buy from this person. DH and I were immediately skeptical when we heard Cameroon and the randomness of the price. Besides, I indicated in my last e-mail that I was skeptical and sent a whole list of questions. The person responding who kept wanting me to give an answer ASAP suddenly stopped replying. People are dirty. To play on someone's emotions is horrible. |

That being said, the likelihood of us being able to find another Yorkie at such a low cost is probably impossible or close to. And considering the following admin warning on the For Sale or Wanted board, I decided not to post. I don't want anyone to think I'm whining or a moocher. We do not allow begging for free puppies or puppies at extreme reduced costs. Feel free to PM sellers with an offer, but the public forum is not a place to beg or whine for a Yorkie. | |

| I really feel for you! I'm kind of in the same boat looking for a playmate for Jaden. Perhaps you could look in the rescue section that is below the for sale section. I saw one yorkie girl there that is only 300.00 I think...I'll get the link for you.... |

| Here it is! And she'd only be 200.00 if you were able to go pick her up. She's a total doll baby! Everyone in the rescue forum has really been wanting her to find a great home. I'd drive to get her for Jaden if she was a little bit smaller. Jadens onl 4 pounds and is so timid, I'd be afraid to have a dog twice his size with him when I wasn't home. Even if they were just playing together, I wouldn't ever forgive myself if he got hurt. http://www.livedeal.com/ShowItemDeta...yCatyName=Item __________________ |
