seperation anxiety ?? Very early last Monday I went to the hospital to have surgery. My husband said that Schatzie began throwing up that afternoon and did not stop until I returned home last night. Schatzie played well, ate all her meals and slept fine too. Do you think her vomiting was due to being seperated from me? Schatzie is so attached to me and I feel awful if she became sick from being away from me. Or maybe this all was just a coincidence?? I missed her too!! My husband even sent me a balloon bouquet tied to a stuffed toy Yorkie while I was in the hospital. She has been by my side since I walked in the door last night and I sure hope I never have to be away from her again. I just wonder if our babies do actually make themselves ill if they miss us too much??

Yes, I think they do. If you are always with them, they miss you terribly when you are not there, it's sad, but it's true. Yoda would chew up the kitchen wallpaper when we had to left him at home. Now, he's a bit better, and he usually just sleeps when we are gone. I think she may really have thrown up missing you so much!

| Yep! I would agree that's what was wrong with that baby ... missing her Mom! I have been with a sad baby since my Patrick has been in Colorado and I still have almost a month more to go!! The first few days Toto didn't eat anything ... just kinda wandered around looking for him but she is eating more now than she ever has! I think it's stress!! The only thing I know to do for her is hold her and she seems to feel better ... or at least content!! And how is Shatzie's mommy?? I was wondering if your surgery went well ... I certainly hope so! We are glad to have you back!! Hugs & Puppy Kisses!!

Oh yeah....separation anxiety! Both mine have it. They don't get destructive when we are gone, but they WILL howl off and on. The two of them sound like a whole pack of wolves! Higgins doesn't like it when ONE of us is gone, either. A couple of days ago, we were out shopping and Don waited in the car with "the boys" while I went into a store to pick something up. He said Higgins went NUTS! Barked and hopped all over the car and was so UPSET that I had left. But then.....remember when they went to the vet overnight to be neutered and WE had separation anxiety???? Bigtime!!!!

Hope that all went well with your surgery. Yep, I agree it's probably that he missed you and got anxious that you weren't around. My two boys are so attached that when I come home even from shopping for an hour or two you would have thought that I have been gone for days. I'm wiith them 24/7 but I do love it. He should be fine now that your home. Get well...Theresa

Oh thanks to you all for so many get well wishes. I came home but then two days later I had to go back into the hospital with complications. I am yet home again. I have missed so much of the posts and not being able to keep up I feel lost now, LOL It's real hard typing on pain medication, kinda loopy!! Schatzie didn't have as much anxiety this past 24hrs with me being away. Maybe it was a good thing since I am also with her 24/7, she needed to learn that I too shall return. However, I missed her so. I will be better in a few wks and keeping up better on all these posts! It's just hard typing when I see double now !!! Schatzie licked my hand today where they placed the IV. Then she sniffed it forever. Yes, she knows something is up for sure!! Thanks again for all your wishes and I appologize for not responding sooner. Schatzie's Mom

That is weid but dogs do stuff like that when I am sick my yorkie will not leave my side. He does good when I am not here but I have worked since I brought him home. When I travel and can not take him my dad stay at my house with him so he does not get upset.

YES, sngglz, Yoda did the same thing when I was sick. He would just lay with me and stay by my side. They have a sixth sense about this type of thing and just want to comfort you when you aren't well. It's amazing that they are so caring like that.
