| Sad Story Hey everyone, i just needed to share this story with everyone as kind of a warning and reminder...i heard this from my boyfriend who saw it on the news this morning so if some of the details are off forgive me, but it will get the point across... I guess yesterday a woman in Taunton MA was doing some errands and had to run into a store and left her yorkie in the car as she was only going to be a few minutes. well within the short time someone broke into her car by smashing a window, stole hundreds of dollars in CDs and the most prized possession, her YORKIE! My heartbroke when i heard this story because yesterday I left my baby in the car for 5 minutes while i ran into the supermarket and i didnt have her bag with me because we were on the way to my parents house. I felt so bad doing it then and now after hearing this, i feel like a bad yorkie mommy. If you have a big dog you never think about someone stealing them if you leave them in the car--you see dogs sitting alone in the car all the time! They at least could defend themselves I guess... I will never ever ever EVER leave my baby alone in the car again...and i hope everyone does the same (and if you already bring them every where to you!!!). I've been looking for the story online but have yet to find it this morning...i know she had some sort of reward out there for her baby, and hopefully she find her! If I find more on this story I'll post it... And I have a question for you all...do you bring your yorkie into places with out being in a bag? Like supermarkets or clothing stores, etc? I've seen people bring small dogs into stores, but I always get nervous bringing her in with out her bag...(i know the worst they can do is ask you to leave, but still). I would love to carry her around and show her off more...so what do you all do?? thanks

| The only time Rocky is left in the car a lone is when I'm pumping gas, and I'm right there to see him. I believe dogs are allowed in Kohls because I bring Rocky in there sometimes. But I always bring his bag with me just incase. If I don't have it, and know he can't go in somewhere, I drop him off at grandma's house. I hope this lady finds her yorkie

| That is sad I only bring my Yorkies with to when I know I don't have to go in somewhere and leave them in the car. I always think of someone trying to steal them. My husband says that when were together and I get out they wine like crazy I think that is funny because when the kids or husband get out they don't do that. |

| I take Teddy everywhere I go. I always have his bag and always put him in it. It's ugly but doesn't scream dog. (It just screams that woman has no taste! LOL) I spend alot of time at the mall as my girls have thier figure scating lessons there. I'm there sometimes up to 6 hours at least 4-6 days a week. Teddy comes in his bag and sleeps a good majority of the time. When he needs to go potty I walk outside let him walk around awhile and then back in the bag and back to our seat where I open the sides of his bag and slide it under the bench. I have taken him into restaraunts in his bag (which sits on the floor under the table) and any and every store I go into. Every now and then if what I am there for isn't that important and I don't care if we are asked to leave I will take him out and carry him. Places like Home Depot, Lowes, of course Petco. Tried Walmart (ours is not a super so no grocery, figured it would be fine....nope asked to leave.) The cloth store, Joanns. I'm still in the search for a bag that doesn't scream dog or that woman has no taste! If anyone has any ideas! Kim and Teddy |

| I think before you leave home with your Yorkie - you should know where you're going --- and know that you are going to places that allow animals. This isn't difficult for me to do! I don't take my Yorkie with me every time I leave home. He is totally great about staying home by himself. He has been left at home often since the day I got him. If I'm going where he can go - I take him with me. ******* I don't want to start one of those long threads with a lot of different opinions - but - I, personally, never try to sneak my Yorkie into places where he's not allowed. I take him where he's welcome, and where I can relax and enjoy having him with me. Carol Jean |
