| New Kids On The Block After having read thru this site extensively, I decided to join the other Yorkie Lovers and would like to introduce ourselves. We moved to Texas from Massachusetts and personally, I don't care for Texas. Six months before our move we lost our dear sweet little Sheltie we had for 13 yrs. I had sworn NEVER to own babies again for the loss is too devastating for me. Anyway, that didn't last very long for I got 2 wonderful little Yorkies, both from local shelters. The male (black & tan) is 2 1/2 yr. old Easton (Easty) and the female (silver & tan) is 1 1/2 yr. old Brockton (Brockty). They are smart, well mannered and my overall joy and bright spot in Texas. Easty is healthy as can be, however Brockty has hip dysplasia and a slight problem with, I believe, depth perception. I have started her on Syn-Flex (about 1 mo. ago) for the hip and the results are very satisfying. I also ONLY feed organic and natural foods and treats. No chemicals or preservatives. As I'm sure I will, from time to time, need suggestions and or advice, thought it best to get my toes wet. |

| Your babies are beautiful. Sorry you don't like Texas. What part are you in? It's such a big place, it's not like being from the other states (other than California). I've been here over 30 years. Can't say it's my favorite place to live, but it's familiar and my family is here. The only over place I'd like to be is San Diego and it's too expensive. Maybe once you get used to us, you'll feel better about being here. We're a rowdy bunch, so pull your hat down, tighten up the reins and hang on!! |

| Thanks for the welcomes. A couple more pics here I should have added to my introduction They are a little shaggy in pics. Groomer comes tomorrow. ChestersMom: I live in the DFW area. My problem isn't with the people, they're great. Just the lack of things to do, certain things are "behind the times," etc. Mostly miss my friends. |

| Welcome to YT! I know how you feel about relocating. I moved from Michigan to Illinois 3 months ago and I am still getting adjusted. I have a brother that lives in Dallas and I've been there a few times. He loves it there and I like it also. You will get used to your new home and you have 2 beautiful babies to help you! This is a wonderful site and you will learn so much about Yorkies.

| How nice that you were able to rescue two Yorkies -- they are cuties! I too hope you grow to like Texas. I never wanted to move from the place I was, but once I got situated in the new locale, I did not want to leave it either. Being a Navy family this worked really well!
