| Shylah's temperment I am concerned about Shylah's temperment. She is very timid and shy when someone comes over and either runs to me or hides. When she is eating her food she won't let my beagle come anywhere near 4 feet from her. She raises her upper lip and then will jump and snap at him. She'll let Starsky come by, but not the beagle. A couple of times I've seen her raise her lip when my teenage daughter will come to pick her up. I have disciplined her with this and haven't seen that happening again. She usually runs when I want to pick her up. She only wants love when she wants it. I am worried she is going to be a biter or not like people other than her family. I take her to Pet'smart and my daughter's lacrosse games. So I do socialize her. Starsky is so cuddly. Almost too much. He wants to be on my lap all the time and follows me everywhere. He stands up on his hind legs scratching on me to pick him up a lot. He is almost too clingy. I think this started since he got sick with the infected gums and trachea. So I have both scenarios, do any of you have this too??

| Here is a website that has a lot of good information on how to deal with agression. You could also try to catch a few of his shows on The National Geographic Channel. His theory is that dogs become agressive when there is no clear pack leader in the household. http://www.dogchannel.com/experts/ce...aspx?WT.srch=1 |
