Donating YT 14K Club Member | Tail Docking I took Gracie and her babies to the vet today to have their tails docked. Poor Gracie about gave herself heart failure when they started docking the tails. Remind me next time to leave her at home! The vet asked me if I wanted the long or short. I told them where the tan ends on the bottom side of the tail is where I wanted them cut. They did it, I paid my fee and I left. Is this the correct length? I've heard that somewhere before and that's what I went with. Their tails look pretty good! I helped my friend dock her puppy's tails a couple of weeks ago. She just used a pair of scissors! She called me wimp since I started crying. The first one she cut, she had to recut because it was too long. The second one, she cut WAY TOO SHORT! But the last one she got just right. Does anyone here dock their puppies tails instead of going to a vet? |

| tails I do...we had several long threads about tails and declaws. I use the English clamp method..bloodless, and no need to stitch. |
