| question? I am probably going to visit my puppy when she is about 6 to 8 weeks old to see her. My question is should i bring like a small baby blanket with our scent to leave with her? I was just wondering if that would maybe help with the transition. I know its probably a wierd question, I was just wondering because I know when we had the baby we brought home a blanket with his scent for my shepherd. I figured maybe it would the other way around to . thanks, sue |

| i think it would be a good idea b/c not only willthe puppy get use to your scent but when you bring him/her home she will have the scent of the mother and litter mates on it as well. |

| When I went to pick up Sebastian my breeder gave us a blanket with his mom and siblings scent on it. I think it helped with his transition to our house because from the very first night he never whined in his crate or anything. You could bring the blanket and ask the breeder to do the same thing. |

| some breeders actually suggest that you wear a t-shirt for a day.. don't use any deoderant or perfume.. and take that shirt to the breeder.. It is a wonderful idea.

Many would came back to stay with me if family went on vacation and they used to bring their orginal teddy bears too. Makes me tear up thinking about them..I miss them all since I moved to Florida..but I get pictures...one sent an album yesterday, what a surprise. |

| Thanks you guys. I just want to try to make the transition easier for her. Thanks for the tshirt idea i will definitely do that. I think I will take one of my baby blankets to the breeder to leave with her so I can bring it back with me with her litter mates and mommy smell as well. I feel better now. Im a lil nervous cause even though I have awhile to bring her home I want to make sure I have everything in place. LOL I have been making a list and it seems everyday after being on yt I find myself adding more and more to it. I think I am slowly but surely going to go broke if you guys keep adding all these places to shop at. lol sue |

| I read a thread here recently where a breeder ask the new mommy and daddy to bring in a dirty sock to leave with the new pup.
